Sorry for that! ><;;
The Basics:
Name: Ariana or Pelly. I usually do the Pelly thing online or with gamers, but for a while now I've scrapped it.
Age: 21
Location: USA
Occupation: Doggy walker/phone picker-upper/delivery girl extraordinaire! Even though I don't really deliver anything anymore.
How did you find out about this community? (Specify usernames if you remember them.) thedrowned
Personality Questions:
1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)
1) Helpful. Or at least I try to be. I think if I can't help someone I get pretty upset, especially when it seems like the solution should be pretty simple. I try, but I'm only human.
2) Polite. I don't like to be rude. I try my best to be polite, even if it's obvious the person is being a pain. I think it's a skill I might have refined from my phone picker-upper job, because we do get calls from angry consumers sometimes.
3) Problem-solver. Or at least I try! I don't always win games, but in real life, I try to at least give some kind of possible solution. It's almost like a balance to me! (That sounds a little cold, huh?) I just mean that when there's an issue, I like to play peacemaker, because people can take sides way too easily.
2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.
1) Not very open. I'm pretty friendly, but I don't really like to talk about myself *too* much. Some people call it humble, but I just think that there are some things people should keep to themselves. Like I said, I'm human! I try hard to be good, but I've made mistakes I'm afraid to talk about. Of course, I usually end up talking about myself anyway, so I usually just avoid the bad stuff. ^_^
2) Nosey. Just a little. It kind of goes hand in hand with the problem-solver bit. I like to get in people's business, and if I want to help people, I can't not know what's going on. Though sometimes I go a little too far. Usually a firm warning is enough to get me to stop, but I have been known to try to come back in. So I'm super sorry just in case I ever annoy anyone here!
3) Apathetic. Sometimes I just don't think we should worry about stuff, you know? But then I get so blah about stuff that I come off like I don't care at all. I have accidentally hurt people's feelings like that! I really don't mean to, just that I totally think some stuff is water under the bridge.
4) I wanted to throw this one in because it's something that happens a lot and is kind of like "tied" in third place. I can be super naive sometimes, or even oblivious I guess. I can pick my three biggest flaws no problem. But I think most of them are fuelled by this trait, which is not usually a big deal on its own... but it shows up *everywhere*!
3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.
Introverted [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: Ummm... I think? I don't really know! I don't often look into myself because I think "meh. I'm me!" But I think I'm pretty outgoing, but I don't think I would start any conversations. I just kind of go with the flow, I guess.
Cheerful [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: Hmm. Guess this is the middle, too. I'm not too super hyper like I used to be since I graduated. I've calmed down *a lot*. And I do sometimes get a little depressed about my job(s). Every now and then my old hyper side might come out, but I think it's still neatly tucked away safe and sound. So I guess I'm in the middle most of the time.
Reserved [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Impulsive
Explain: I'm totally putting thought into these! D: But I do think I'm in the middle. I know that lots of times I'll just jump into things if I think they sound like a good idea. But other things where the end results might be affected by a small mistake, I usually have to think about it a little. So far, it's really been about equal.
Energetic [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Calm
Explain: Oh jeez. Sorry! I think I'm pretty upbeat, but I do like to relax. Too much activity is just really stressful! But I don't like sitting around too long, that's just boring. Hee.
Feminine [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: O_O;; Sorry everyone. But I do think it's all middle for me here, too. I have pretty things and all, and I'm kind of like Misty from Pokemon, you know? She hates bugs, and I wig out bad when I see some. I like to paint my nails, but I'm not really a fashionista type of person. I'd rather wear way more comfy stuff and go play video games with my brother or go garden or something. I guess it depends on the activity!
Grudge-holding [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Forgiving
Explain: Yay, something not in the middle! LOL! At least, for this one, especially when I know it was just an accident, I get over it pretty fast. There are some things I'll never forgive, you know? Things people did to me, did to my mother and sister. But there's not so much cruelty in the world that you should hate every person that wrongs you, you know? ^_^
4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
Ooooh, good question! When I was in high school, I liked being the leader. I would usually boss people around. ^^ But I'm not like that too much anymore. I'm mostly just a "follower" now. Does that make sense? I don't think I would know what to do now if I was randomly made a leader! I have some good ideas...but I always tell whoever's boss first. I work okay in teams as long as you just tell me what to do and are okay if you don't mind too much feedback.
5) Spider-Man Decision: If you had to choose between saving two dozen innocent children and saving your best friend/significant other/person closest to you, which would you pick and why?
What a horrible question. Eee. Oh no. Ummm...... Can I say "run away crying"? ^^;; I'm sorry, I don't think I could *ever* choose that. I would probably just stand around yelling helplessly until something happened. All life is precious, and a choice like that...wow, I could *never* live with myself. If I was Superwoman, I would totally save all of them. Superman and Superwoman wouldn't take that choice, no way. *does the Matrix philosophy*
6) Your friend has had their feelings hurt and comes to you for consolation. What do you do? Let's say, two days later they come to you again still upset over the same issue. What would you do in that case?
I would totally ask if there was anything I could do! People in pain is a very unhappy thing, I think. Depending on what it was, I would probably try to fix it myself. Like you know, if it was someone just being mean? If they were to come back later with the same thing, then I probably couldn't fix it! And I would probably tell them that there are just things you can't change and that maybe they could do/try/move something to lessen the problem or avoid it altogether. :)
7) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
Well, mostly, I just do video game stuff. I used to write a lot but I kind of lost touch with that. That's kind of why I was interested in this place, since it might give me the opportunity to try again! I mostly do outdoorsy stuff, like gardening and I'll go hiking or since summer's here, SWIMMING!!! XD I guess that's why I sometimes am not online, because I'm outside and there's not much I can do since my phone is lame and has no internet, LOL.
8) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
Oh, I'm super sorry, I made a promise to myself to never talk about the job in specifics. Know why? Because I feel like that traps you into stuff! If I *could*, I think I'd switch jobs every day. You'd never have any idea what I was doing next. But I guess the thing that seems to always be in the jobs I pick are helping people. Oh, if I had the money, I would totally go to school to be a nurse!! Or I'd go in the army and be a medic! (Nevermind I'm way to weak for that ;_;) And it doesn't have to be people, either. I walk dogs for a living! I'm helping out people who are out of town so their pets can enjoy themselves at their own house instead of some crappy doggy motel. Whoa, this answer was long. x_x
FF Questions:
9) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.
Final Fantasy 7: It was the first one I ever played, and I'll never forget it ever! The story was so amazing and so rich, I was like... 10 or something when I first played and I was amazed. I missed ton of the game because I was so young, but then I played it again when I was 16 and it got even better. And then I played it again last year and I liked it even more! I like that everything in the entire universe is at stake and it's not just one planet... even though the death of that planet is what is most important at the time. You guys will neeeeeever guess who my favorite character is! >:3
Final Fantasy 8: I am really sorry, because I have to admit, I've never actually played any of the FFs before 7 except 3 (DS), which
thedrowned showed me. It was super cute, but I guess I kind of like the SERIOUS BUSINESS games. Which is kinda why I like 8. The story was all so serious and very important. I like the characters (even though I totally think the "omg we're all from the same orphanage we just ttly can't remember lol" was the worst writer cop-out EEEEVER), and there's a lot of pain, some that I can't relate to and some that is so close I cry a little.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Out of left field? Yeah, I don't blame you. I'm a really big Nintendo fangirl, and after FF10, the games just kind of stopped being "good", you know? Until GameCube FF! I was 17 when I played it, I was so excited. I love it a lot and played the sequels (or prequels) because of the amazement on NGC! They don't really come close, though. It had such unique gameplay and the one that started the races and their specialties. It's full of lots of sadness, too.
(Whoa, what is it with me and sad games? LOL sorry ^_^)
10) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:
FF7: Besides the character you'll never guess, mwahahahaha, I really, really like Red XIII. I guess Aeris is a close second, but Nananki kind of makes me wish there were more people like him, you know? Intelligent, soft-spoken, RESERVED. I like reserved people, because when people just talk and talk and talk, they usually end up saying more crap than they should be. LOL! (Ooops, I guess I'm kind of like that. -_-)
FF8: I used to like Selphie a lot, but when I played recently, I realized whoa, she's crazy! She likes to blow stuff up and beat people. So I guess my favorite is Quistis. She's smart and strong and leader material. Totally unlike me, hahaaaha. I felt bad because she had a crush on Squall and couldn't really get him, but I think there could be some Squall/Quistis love, right? Right? :D
Crystal Chronicles: De Nam's pretty cool for a Selkie and he's a close second, but I like Amidatty best. He played off the "world model" like he had no idea it was just bannock. But I like him, because he's trying to make a difference in the world by using science and research, which the world lacks *badly*. Which just means he's all the smarter and awesome that your typical Yuke. If I could, I would join his caravan! (Except I think I'm more Selkie than anything.)
11) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:
Ummmm...that's a tough question. I kind of try to distance myself from in game characters unless they have a story like mine, and my story's pretty boring and I don't play boring games LOL.
*EDIT:* Okay, I took a little Which FF Character Are You thing because I was having a really hard time with this, and I guess I find myself relating to Zidane. (Even though he's a total skirt chaser.) I think it's because I'm pretty okay with life and I like to help people, even though inside I sometimes feel like the past just *wants* to haunt me and I sometimes feel alone because of it. But like Zidane, I know that as long as I have my friends and the ones I love then it's all good! Right? His song? You're Not Alone! 8D
12) The FF game you liked playing least:
I guess Final Fantasy 12. I really like the Tactics games, you know? But I hate the political focus. And I hated that about 12. And what was worse is that the battle system... I have no idea what's going on there. And I felt like people playing were just like Vaan and Penelo: just bystanders. I hate politics and I'm tired of the stuff that happens in real life I don't think I want to deal with *more* political strife. So all of that just kind of made the game boring and kind of unpleasant, and I never beat it.
13) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:
Amarant. I don't really get his personality and why everything has to be a game for him. I guess the writers got lazy or something, because I think he could have had more than just :|||||| and ".....whatever" than he did. And his attitude? Yeah. No thanks.
And um, even though I love FF8, I can't stand Irvine. What a jerk. At least with someone like Zidane, it's funny! But with Irvine it's kinda annoying. And I hate when guys hit on girls to no end. You think they like that? They don't, Mr. Kinneas. I'm sure even with some cutesy Selphie/Irvine that some people like, he'd still be shooting horny looks at girls he doesn't even know. Gross.
14) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):
I think Ultima Weapon is my choice here. It's always different in each game, and....... this might sound kind of weird, but I think of the Ultima Weapon as a rite of passage. Does that make sense? For a player, well sometimes you need a super rare item or you have to go in a tough dungeon to find it. But just picture it from the characters' point of view. He has to give up something good or he has to risk his life in a creepy dungeon so he can get the strongest weapon. It's like the ultimate reward for doing a good job. Some day, I'll be like them and do something strong and get a great reward. Until then, I'll just stick with the mythril stuff. ;_;
15) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):
I guess I kind of like the cute ones. Sometimes I just like to use them because they're cute, even if using them isn't really in my strategy? Like Carbuncle. I like using him because he's cute, but I usually can't use it because then I want to heal and then whoops!
16) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):
Umm... I don't know. How about overdrives? Those are lots of fun, because you can use them with low HP as much as you want but have to work to still get them going. Like Lulu's. Right stick rotation! Hurryhurryhurryhurry!
17) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:
Guess it's chocobo stuff. I don't really like to do too many side quests if there isn't some usefulness to them. And doing 7 chocobos and 9 chocobos really get you good bonuses, so I usually go all out with them.
18) Your favorite Cid:
I'm going to be super weird and self-centered or something and say Cid Mar Berbier. He's a Cid I made up for a Tactics Advance sequel. Or... prequel? I'm not sure. But he was related to Ezel Berbier and he's a genius, if eccentric. Usually I'm not too into the Cids. I get the appeal, of having a running joke. But, except for 7 Cid, they don't really serve much purpose, do they? Cid Mar has a huge role to play, so he's my favorite. LOL!
19) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.
I'm probably not a dragoon, but I guess it's up to you to decide. I think they're way too serious for my tastes, and besides Cid, I don't know a very not-so-serious dragoon...... actually I guess Cid Highwind's still pretty serious. ._.

3) Problem-solver. Or at least I try! I don't always win games, but in real life, I try to at least give some kind of possible solution. It's almost like a balance to me! 14) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):
I think Ultima Weapon is my choice here. It's always different in each game, and....... this might sound kind of weird, but I think of the Ultima Weapon as a rite of passage. Does that make sense? For a player, well sometimes you need a super rare item or you have to go in a tough dungeon to find it. But just picture it from the characters' point of view. He has to give up something good or he has to risk his life in a creepy dungeon so he can get the strongest weapon. It's like the ultimate reward for doing a good job. Some day, I'll be like them and do something strong and get a great reward. Until then, I'll just stick with the mythril stuff. ;_;
I think they're way too serious for my tastes, and besides Cid, I don't know a very not-so-serious dragoon...... actually I guess Cid Highwind's still pretty serious. ._.

Anyway, I kept on switching between Soldier (particularly the Ramza and Cecil-esque ones) and White Mage, then my mind settled on "Soldier + White Mage = an awesome stereotype-breaking Paladin like Cecil" and wouldn't go anywhere else. DX Some of your perspectives also seem more thief like as well...
Overall, I think I'm leaning towards White Mage. I think it's the emphasis on the peacemaker traits and politeness, which fits with how many white mages are portrayed in FF. It's a class of aid and support, and that is usually reflected in the characters as well. The way you even apologized in advanced about the nosy trait (don't worry, btw, it's good to want to know about other people~)... I also think they tend to be in-between for many of the traits, as there are only a few shy ones, but plenty who are more outgoing, likewise with the cheerful/gloomy and impulsive/reserved traits.
They tend to play the follower role, but can be leaders... The 'boss people around' bit also made me chuckle and reminded me of Porom and Garnet in particular. (Those two also eventually do become leaders, although they never asked for it. There are also white mages like Minwu, who are sort-of leaders, but tend to give advice/tell their ideas to another leader instead) Your responses to 5 and 6 are also so very white mage... I even read them in a similar voice that I attribute to our white mage mod. XD
Which isn't a very good reason, I know, but--no subject
A lot of the Soldiers are more likely to "go with the flow" when it comes to conversations: most of them are outgoing but not to extremes (with only a few exceptions)...I think your in-between Introverted/Extroverted answer fits for quite a few of them! Your in-between cheerful and gloomy *and* in-between reserved and impulsive answers fits with the "Ramza, Cecil, Firion, Ingus, Basch, and Yuri" variety of Soldiers too...and I think many of them would be described as in-between energetic/calm as well. While some of the Soldiers aren't the most forgiving bunch, a few of them are! Cecil, Ramza, and Basch being pretty good examples of this. ...Overall, your traits selections seemed to showcase that you're very balanced and don't fall into too many trait extremes: something that I tend to see more in those Soldier characters I keep mentioning for you, hehe. XD
I think your team work answer fits for a few Soldiers as well: capable of leading, but just as comfortable (if not more!) following! Still, you work well in teams and aren't afraid to give feedback...which is something that I think quite a few Soldier characters would have in common with you. Your answer to the Spider-Man decision does seem more White Mage-esque to me, but...I actually think it can fit for a few Soldiers too (Yuri as a prime example). I could see quite a few of them answering similarly to the consoling a friend scenario as well. And...your hobbies/interests strike me as Soldier-esque for some reason! Quite a few of the Soldier characters are "Jack of all Trades" as well...so I think your "ideal job" answer is something many of them can agree with! You want to help others...which is something that I think most of the Soldier characters want to do as well in some capacity.
Your relation to Zidane actually makes me think of a lot of the Soldier characters too as many of them have somewhat similar stories: I think it's because I'm pretty okay with life and I like to help people, even though inside I sometimes feel like the past just *wants* to haunt me and I sometimes feel alone because of it. ♥

Must defend Amarant, hahaEh, he's a love or hate kind of guy. I see what you mean by the attitude. :)I wouldn't have thought of Zidane as your personality, but thinking of it in terms of his most important traits, I think it actually fits. Zidane's biggest thing is being there for people with out reason, and I got that kind of vibe from your application. Nice choice!

because that would be awesome and very fitting, lolz! XD)...I think I might be leaning slightly more towards a White Mage vote overall. Many of the White Mages in the FF series (Shirma, Minwu, Aria, Sara Altney, Rosa, Porom, Leonora, Aerith, Garnet, Yuna, Iru-Kuiru, Karaha-Baruha, Penelo, Vanille, Hope, Ovelia, Alma, etc.) are helpful, polite characters--many of whom are fairly adept at problem-solving. They can be rather friendly to others, but many of them aren't super-comfortable talking about themselves around people too much...and sometimes a few of them CAN be somewhat nosey if they feel they can help someone out by being so (Penelo, Refia, Aerith, Eiko, and Vanille all showcase this). Naivety also seems to be a weakness with certain White Mages as well.
There are several White Mage characters who do tend to "go with the flow" in how they interact with others...being neither too introverted or extroverted on their own, and they can also be rather in the "middle ground" between cheerful and gloomy (going one way or the other depending on situations around them). White Mages also tend to be somewhat in-between reserved and impulsive as well: characters like Aerith, Garnet, Yuna, Penelo, Karaha-Baruha, Leonora, Rosa, and Ovelia all have moments where they will either act impulsively or with more caution and reserve, depending on their emotions and what is going on around them. And many White Mages can be either fairly upbeat or enjoy relaxing without having to be one way or the other all the time as well depending on their mood. The fact that you mentioned that you would be forgiving of quite a few things even though there are things that you wouldn't be able to forgive at the same time strikes me as being very White Mage-esque as well (since they tend to be more understanding of mistakes others have made, though there are some actions
such as when antagonists are involvedthat they perhaps wouldn't be able to forgive given what happened either). How you described the way you tend to work in groups reminds me quite a bit of the White Mage role in most FF parties...and your answer to the Spider-Man scenario question actually kind of fits with the White Mage job class to me too: I imagine quite a few White Mages would perhaps have a similar reaction to that type of scenario. How you would handle a friend being upset also just really fit with how White Mages will sometimes comfort friends or other party members in their respective games too. Your answer to the job question also had me leaning a bit more towards the White Mage characters and job class too. :)
I loved reading your responses to the FF section. And yay for Crystal Chronicles love too! Hehe, Cid Mar Berbier sounds pretty neat! ♥

I'm a Nursing student myself, lol.Your ff related answers are so fun to read! Although VII&VIII aren't my favorites, I really loved how different their stories are. I've also never played any FF games for the gamecube
even though I owned one before I owned a PS2but I'll definitely checkout Crystal Chronicles! Amarant can be a little hard to understand sometimes, that's for sure, but I think he balances out the FFIX cast quite nicely (and he's a pretty good foil to Zidane). I do agree with you about Irvine though, lol. Sometimes he just goes overboard ahaha.no subject
Overall in your app, there's a great sensitivity (as in care and consideration to other people rather than the *faints at the slightest prick of a needle or something) in there that is fairly reminiscent of White Mages. The occasional bossy-ness is something I'd associate with Garnet and Rosa! (:
Hooray for Quistis love! ♥ and much agreed with regard to Irvine (;
