Personality Questions:
1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)
I)I don't want to boast but... I've pretty good brains. I find it easier to understand hard theorems and laws compared to most, if not all, of my colleagues. I can pretty much remember formulae, equations or any verses or phrases that are essential for my studies without much problem, the main point is that I need to understand them first. I'm pretty much the guy that my colleagues ask for help when there's something they can't do in an assignment, can't understand something, something went wrong with a project, or anything reltaed to our academia. Though it does becomes a curse when you're in the lab and everyone asks you to help them instead of the instructor. >_>
II)I'm pretty much friendly with most people, as long as they don't try to wage war against me. My friends are pretty much everyone I meet and sit with, whether in class, during meals, in the field, etc. Still, I'm also not the type to just let everyone in. Only a very rare few are my close friends, people I'd give my life to them if anything happened. But again, I'm pretty friendly once you get to know me, since it does seems that some of my closest friend says that I seem unreachable or something before we got to know each other.
III)Being mercurial, versatile, and adaptive. Maintained that my blood pressure doesn't skyrocket suddenly, I can be detached, warm, cold, calm, lunatic, bubbly, a fool, or any other thing if the situation calls for it. This, of course, will happen if and only if they don't step away from my rule of honour, which is probably very different from most people's rule of honours.
2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.
I) There are times when my quick temper comes back to me. At that time... well, I can explode without a moment notice and then suddenly revert back to being not angry. It's like... I got angry for some minor reason & then just kinda shrugged it off without a second thought and most probably will forget why I even got mad in the first place.
THere was once a time when I got mad at someone when this thing happened and at the beginning of the sentence I was semi-scolding him & at the end of the sentence I was talking like I usually do.
II) I'm very easily irritated by... well, rather slow people, if compared to their current level of academia. Simply said, I'm say something very sharp if I deal with these types of people. I mean, I know patience is a virtue but there are limits to it, especially when you explain again and again something that should've been very obvious with that you've learned within the last few years and they still bother you to teach them the very same thing. Most of the time I just ignore them before I say something worse than just sharp sarcatic remarks hidden between nice words.
III) I've a.... let's just call it fascination with rather weird stuffs. Simply said, I'm probably not someone you want to face if were in a "Create the most horrifying
I guess the only reason most people IRL around me don't notice is because I don't look like someone who has that kind of fascination at all. And... well, for someone striving to become a scientist/researcher/scholar, I believe in things that are, in the context of most western scientist/researchers/scholars, preposterous or simply impossible.
3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.
Introverted [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: I'm pretty much neither. I can turn one to another depending on many factors, mainly my surroundings, my own constitution, the atmosphere around, the information that just went into my brain a few moments prior to the setting, etc. Though generally I'm rather introverted with people I don't know, and extroverted with people very close to me.
Cheerful [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: I can't say I'm all bubbly nor am I all gloomy but again, It's pretty much like the above in the explanation for the "Introverted-Extroverted" Personality Bar. Still, I'm pretty much cheerful and bubbly with people around me, especially with those that I'm not too close to; neutral with people that I'm very close to; And if I'm gloomy or seem deperessed, then that's when I'm alone or with a very very close friend.
Leader [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Supportive
Explain: Again, like above. I have proven to be, more or less, a good leader when I was the Counselling Unit's President and Vice-President of the Student Council a few years ago along with a few other positions. But if there is someone better to hold the banner of leadership, then I will willingly support them to the best of my ability.
Confident [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Modest
Explain: Should'nt this be assertive instead of confident??? Anyway, Same as above. I'm very confident but I noticed that I don't really like people praising me too much. I either just go "Nah, I wasn't that good" or just smile and nod. I prefer someone advicing me on my weakness than just simple praise or congrats. Still at the same time I'm not the type to like attention. Hence, if there's some else that can do the job well done, you can expect me to just sit still and watch. There are also cases where I just lied through my teeth and said something that was totally beneficial to a project wasn't made by me, even if it was.
Reserved [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Impulsive
Explain: Again, same as above. I'm a reserved type that is, at the same time impulsive. SImply said, I can control my impulsive bursts to make a calculated move. Kinda like how you use random blocks in Tetris to fill a row. Suffice to say, if I'm impulsive at a moment, I don't lose my judgement. If I'm too reserved and calculated at a moment, I also have a volcano ready to erupt inside me.
Energetic [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] Calm
Explain: Again, same as above. Mostly I'm calm but I can go loco if the extra energy gets to me. You can either see me as the calmest in a group of panicky or rushing people or the guy that moves the fastest with the best response in a group of slowpokes or laid-back people.
Feminine [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: I am Masculine alright, it comes with being a guy, but at the same time I can do a lot of things that a lot of girls nowadays can't, or just refuse to do. I cook, help around the house, sew... besically things that are 'traditionally' girl stuff. No, I don't gossip or do modern girl stuff. At the same time, my demeanour is that of a guy, I can repair cars, repair machines and electricals, farming... most things that are 'traditionally' guys stuff. Guess this happened cause I was the only child up untill I was 9. I was the guy to help my parents when they needed me. Well, it's not a bad thing though.
4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
If possible, I would prefer to work alone. But in the case where I have no other options but to go for a team, then I would just do it. Rarely I would offer myself for the position of a leader but for some reason, most of the time either someone appoints me or I somehow become the de facto leader. Partly because it's almost too rare for anyone to even urge the team to go forward, everyone just expects someone else to push them and... well, I have an impatience for that.
A team with me leading would usually mean that everyone will be grouped further into sub-teams and be given different work to do. How, when, what to do after that I usually give them the freedom to choose. As long as all the works go on and none stalled. Usually I'd take the loose ends, or help where trouble arise. Compiling the various outputs from the sub-teams is usually my job, unless I gave it to someone else but that has never happened before. Basically, instead of a hierarchial type of group, it's more of a job-specific type of group. Everyone has the right to comment on the other sub-team's work and everyone must at the very least, do their jobs properly. And I do not tolerate flames in a group. Everyone must be professional. Decisions of the sub-teams are usually left to them, I just ask them to update me on what goes on in the sub-teams. If there are something that can be improves, every one has a right to express it. Oh... no stiffness. I don't like overly protocol-d stuff. Do the job right, do the job fast, do the job without stress.
An example would be my Technology Workshop classes. We were doing Heat Treatment and there were 10 of us and 5 of workpieces. Since everyone was kinda waiting for something to happen, I asked them to put the metals into the furnace and divide themselves into groups of 2's, one group to test one workpiece. Then we decided who would be the one to wear the flame suit and take the pieces out, who would take watch, who would clean up after the whole stuff, etc. How they do the stuff assigned to them doesn't really matter as long as they keep to the safely regulations and stuff.
5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time? Most thing creative or anything that makes me use my imagination. Writing, reading, playing games, doing simulations or simply mindless random research.
6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
I)Scientist/Researcher: I guess that I'm just the kind of guy who likes to find new stuff and make them into use. And I'm not too stuck-up to think of alternatives when I'm blocked.
II)Lecturer: Guess the 2nd thing that I would dedicate my life to is to teach people what I know. To guide them to a better life. TO make them make other's life better. SOmething like that. I mean, isn't it a shame to let tons of knowledge in your head go to waste?
FF Questions:
7) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.
I)FFVI: Basically cause everyone has different special abilities and heck, it was basically the first time I've met with Cyan, Setzer and Mash's type of special attack inputs. HEck, Umaro and Gogo was fun to use. And the storyline was pretty good as well. And the moogles. XD
II)FFXII: The gambit system. It was... fun. All you need to to setup a good gambit system and all you needed to do was walk around and find trouble with the enemy. Not to mention Vaan. A poster boy that was actually not really the central character of the whole story but was kinda got dragged along with it all??? Awesome. XD
8) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:
I)Cidolfus Demen Bunansa, FFXII Cid: He's evil, cool, surrounded by machines, believes he's right even when he dies, has a big gun, pretty much tried to kill his son and... well, very much insane, kinda. How the hell do you resist that??
II)Golbez: The evil guy who turns out to be a caring brother under control. Heck, he even becomes your enemy in Dissidia but schemes to help you in the process. Guess what I like about him is his sense of doing things right. It's twisted. And he doesn't really like showing you that he's really helping you.
9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:... Ummm... none??? Cause I rarely relate to anyone.
10) The FF game you liked playing least: FFV. I just... couldn't get into the job systems in the game and... welll, I didn't really like the storyline.
11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:Hmm... none. It's either like or apathetic.
12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities): Cecil Harvey's Most powerful weapons. In FFIV, the Death (or Deathbringer) and the LIghtbringer. In Dissidia: CImmerian Edge and Lightbringer.
13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.): I'd say... Bahamut. But generally I don't really use summons
14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):.... Dunno. Pretty much don't have one.
15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into: uh.... again, none.
16) Your favorite Cid: Haha. Cidolfus Demen Bunansa. Rfer to the favourite character section.
17) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.
I don't really know which one since I've not read the sorting guide but I guess a class that is too loyal or disciplined or something. I'm not really sure I can cut that. Still, there's so much that the mirror can tell. :/
