Personality Questions:

1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)

Generosity. I'm not very attached to materialistic things, which leads to one of my weaknesses. For example, a friend of mine went to go trade in video games for money and I gave him one of mine so he could get more money towards a game he wanted.

I'm a good sport. I don't care how many times I lose, as long as everyone is having a good time.

Very optimistic. All odds could be against me, but I still have hope of pulling through tough situations.

2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.

Being too honest; my comments can sometimes be awkward or even hurtful. (I can't help it)

Horribly bad with money. I spend money as though I have more than I do. I don't save money very well.

I start things and don't finish them. I have many at-home projects that I put lots of time and energy into and usually never finish them.

3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.

Introverted [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: I'm not shy when talking to groups of people, or strangers. I don't go out of my way to start up a conversation, but when people start conversations with me, I gladly talk to them.

Cheerful [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: I enjoy laughing and cracking jokes. I hardly take life seriously and I like to make people smile in depressing situations.

Leader [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Supportive
Explain: When everybody wants me to make the decisions I will, but I usually want others to chose whatever makes them happy. I kind of go with the flow.

Confident [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Modest
Explain: I have my own ways of thinking, acting, and dressing and how others view me is irrelevant. I'm content with myself.

Reserved [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] Impulsive
Explain: What? Right now? Ight. Let's do it.

Energetic [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Calm
Explain: I keep my composure under stressful situations and I tend to be more laid-back than hyperactive.

Feminine [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: I'm a laid-back gamer, who is not worried about looking the part of a tough-guy. Nothing I can think of makes me come across feminine though.

4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.

I enjoy working on tasks with 1-3 people. Doing things by myself is boring and I typically go out of my way to find people to do activities with. I prefer making the decisions when when I am part of a group trying to complete a task. Games, for example, are boring alone and I typically don't have fun playing anything by myself.

5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time? Tennis is a big relaxer for me, I spend lots of my free time playing it. When I can get friends to play with, I'll spend time playing videos games as well. Another hobby I have is making bored games - being creative is fun to me.

6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.

And ideal job for me would be being a police office so I can have authority over people, and/or programming video games, so I can make games that aren't horrible like most companies seem to do.

FF Questions:

7) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.

My favorite FF game was FFIX. The storyline was amazing to me and the cinema scenes had me on the edge of my seat.

FF10s gameplay is what made it my second favorite. To me, it was the last true FF game. RIP.

And of course, I love FFIV just because Golbez is the main baddy.

8) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:

In my order of favorite characters:

Golbez - Why? because he's overpowered on Dissidia and looks so awesome.

Kuja - Once he turned into Super Kuja it reminded me of Dragonball Z. His spells were insane and I was very excited after I beat him. I don't care if he looks like a chick, Trance Kuja makes FFIX.

Auron - His demeanor and weapons are cause for favoritism. Who doesn't like his Napoleon hand-in-coat look? Exactly.

9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:

I relate to Auron the most. He is quite, but also says things that need to be said. Generally keeping to himself, he seems to always be in thought, but is also a confident person.

10) The FF game you liked playing least:

Final Fantasy XI... That game needs to stop. Sorry for all those who play/played it.

11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:

Bartz from FF5 - he was too girly in my opinion. Lulu from FF10, she was hot, but too depressing to look at. And Queen Brahne from FF9, she was just some far clown lady who didn't care about her daughter.

12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):

http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/1899/waffe13zjtv5.jpg <--- Auron's weapon from FF10 was my favorite. I liked his armor penetration compared to the rest of the group's

13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):

Anima from FF10 was my favorite. Although I never got her, she was always my favorite because of how much damage she did.

14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):

Ultima. End-all be-all cast.

15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:

No, but does grinding count? Because I do that so often that it takes away from the fun of the storyline and the whole game itself.

16) Your favorite Cid:

Obviously this is a trick question. Oglop Cid is the best Cid and everyone loves him the most. I'm not sure why this is even on here as a question. FFIX ftw.

17) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.

White Mage isn't how I see myself. Seems too.... pure? I'm nice, but not that nice.

I could see you as either one of the more energetic Soldiers (like Tidus, Luneth, or Zack!) or a Thief...but I think I'm leaning slightly more toward Soldier overall! I think your mention of having generosity had me leaning towards Soldier since they don't seem to be nearly as concerned with materialistic things as the Thief class tends to be (and I could also see them being more likely to be kind of bad with money in comparison to their Thief counterparts). Soliders like the ones I mentioned above are pretty good sports, optimistic, pretty honest with their opinions, and can have short attention spans when it concerns finishing certain things (Luneth in particular is pretty bad at finishing tasks unless he was interested in them...which was why Arc was better at studying than he was). Soldiers like Tidus, Zack, and Luneth are all pretty extroverted; are cheerful; can be either leaders or take on more supportive roles depending on the situation; are confident; tend to be impulsive; can be laid-back. I could see a lot of Soldier characters preferring to work in small groups and are often more comfortable making the decisions when the group has tasks to complete...and I could picture quite a few of them wanting to be something like a police officer for an ideal career as well. I even think your like and relation to Auron remind me of characters that would fall into the Soldier class for some reason...and I could even picture them taking the time to level grind a lot in games too. :)

While I could see Thief, your general attitude (generous, cheerful, willing to go above and beyond for a bud, nice, but not insanely nice) is making me see Soldier. As the above said, Thieves are still bubbly and kind, but are a bit more materialistic. Your initial "helping a friend so they could get more money" really struck me as a kind Soldier-type (Tidus and Zack, for sure) and as I read on, I kept seeing further examples. :)

I was getting a definite Soldier vibe all the way through this. You're nice, but not super sweet like a White Mage, optimistic, but too materialistic for a Thief, and impulsive, but not loud or brash enough to be a Monk. All in all you seem pretty balanced, which makes me say Soldier.

You remind me a little bit of my husband, and he just got sorted into Soldier, too, so...yeah. Nice to see a little more gender diversity around here, too, lol.

(Edited, sorry)

Undecided. I'm so sorry - I can see where the Soldier votes are coming from, but I genuinely have trouble trying to fit you into any one class. I can see Soldier, Thief and Monk in your application, which narrows it down a little, but ... beyond that, it's very difficult to pin down which of the three you fit best into with the current level of detail, and I would rather vote Undecided than put you into a class which I think doesn't fit all that well because I feel that would be unfair to you.

Whichever team you get sorted into, though, I do hope you have fun!

There are times when I read an application that I think, "This person reminds me of _____." (Which isn't very often because my Final Fantasy library is grievously short a few editions.) As it is, you reminded me of Auron and then later on, I read that you directly relate to him, which makes me feel I'm not putting much effort into it at all. So, I shall check the Soldier box, sit back and look pretty like I'm supposed to.

The reason behind this, I think, is your answer to the Energetic/Calm scale: I keep my composure under stressful situations and I tend to be more laid-back than hyperactive.

Auron's not at all assertive unless he is confronted, and he'd rather hang back unnoticed than be at the fore doing the talking (though he does his fair share of that, too). His is always the level-head.

I could see a bit of Monk and Thief at times in your application, but I think overall I'm leaning more towards a Soldier vote too...especially taking into account the more cheerful Soldier characters such as Luneth, Zack, Tidus, and Luso. Soldier characters who fit the more cheerful category seem to be rather generous (as do others such as Cecil and Ramza too). Characters like Tidus and Zack are rather good at sports and physical activities...and many Soldier characters (especially the four I mentioned earlier) can be quite optimistic too. Some Soldier characters can be a bit awkward with how they word things at times, and a few of them can sometimes get bored with certain projects if they don't have passion for them and might even stop finishing them if that happens too. Quite a few Soldier characters tend to be rather good at conversations once someone has initiated one with them, and they can be rather cheerful too (some, such as Cloud, Lightning, and Squall aren't...but since the Soldier class is so varied with the characters and personalities it has, there are many others who would count as being more cheerful and extroverted). They can range from either being supportive or being a leader in certain situations, are often confident/content with themselves, can be impulsive, and can be more calm-minded than hyperactive (again, since Soldier has so many characters under its umbrella...traits can be quite varied depending on characters). Many Soldier characters can be quite fond of team or group work as well. I could see quite a few Soldier characters perhaps wanting to be police officers as well for the reasoning you gave too...or even a video game programmer in order to ensure quality control! :D

I see a lot of Monk (which makes you the 5th person in 2 weeks I've consider giving a Monk vote to o_o) but I'm going to have to agree with the Soldier votes.

Your impulsiveness is very Monk-like, but the way you put it in the app doesn't seem so much "rush in with lots of energy" as just having lots of initiative, which I would consider a Soldier trait. Also, I actually get a bit of a White Mage feel in terms of kindness and cheerfulness and ability to go with the flow, but that core plus laid-back confidence and assurance makes you shift from White Mage territory more into the Soldier territory.

Hmm. There are times when I was very tempted to say thief or monk, but considering some of your later comments, such as why you relate to Auron, I think I'm leaning the most towards Soldier as well. Many soldiers keep to themselves, but they're not shy and can be talkative at times. (Ashe, Ramza, Paine, and Cecil come to mind there.) They're also calmer than thieves and monks, although a lot of your traits could apply to members in all three categories. In the case of the Soldiers, many of your responses in question 3 could apply to Tidus and Zack in particular.

Not to sound redundant by this point but Solider seems the best for you. Though you seem to have a little bit of everything making it rather difficult to place you in any particular category...break that mold

*running the redundancy brigade now*

Soldier, for sure!

I love FFIV just because Golbez is the main baddy.

Also, I love you. :3 But Golbez isn't the absurdly OP one in Dissidia (horrible, laggy air game - I want Glare Hand in the air goddamnit), it's that floaty bastard Kuja.

Uh... not to go all meta-Dissidia on you or anything...

Anyway. As other people said, Monk is certainly there, but it's not quite right. You scream Soldier to me more.

I pretty much agree with what [livejournal.com profile] purpletrance said. My first thought was "totally a thief" but as I read more, there were a few more differences. Especially when I got to the part where you said you relate the most to Auron and the reasons behind it. I cannot really see thieves being that confident, quiet or the types to keep everything in. In the end I won;t be original and say Soldier. You strike me as Zack type of Soldier to be honest. You're confident, generous, optimistic, impulsive, cheerful. You keep more to yourself which reminded me about some other Soldier characters. You can be a leader type which is like them too. The fact you find it more fun to work with others reminded me of Thieves again but overall...I just see a bit more Soldier in you.

Your personality section and especially your strengths are very thief-like, but then your "Rate yourself" and the overall tone of your application remind me more of Soldier. You remind me of characters like Zack and Tidus, because you're confident, impulsive, extroverted and cheerful, you enjoy working with small groups and you describe yourself and too honest sometimes, optimistic and generous.

^What they said, apparently.

Soldier. You've got the blunt/overly honest aspect of the Monks but are obviously more of an active leader, which is soldier, IMO.
