Occupation: A poor Uni student.

Personality Questions:
1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)
Perceptive. I'd like to think my skills in observation are pretty good and I can guess what people are thinking and figuring out what isn't said.
Conviction. I try not to panic in the face of adversity. My belief is that everything will be fine in the end, and I would do my very best to make sure it will be.
I learn new things and adapt to foreign situations pretty quickly.
2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.
I hide everything. I like to pretend everything is okay. I'd lie about what I really think, really feel, or how I am really doing.
I don't like doing things that I'm not certain of. I'd much rather observe the situation and learn everything I can before I jump into anything.
I hold on to grudges for pretty long. The silver lining of this is that I tend to remember most of my own mistakes as well and sometimes they do haunt me.
3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X'
in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.
Introverted [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: I take a really long time to warm up to people and I'd be happier in small gatherings with close friends than in a big party. If needed, I could try to be a bit more outgoing and sociable but I do need my alone time.
Cheerful [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: I'd say I'm a realist and that i don't think everything is good and well. But I do believe that everything has its silver lining and if I can rationalise everything that has happened (good or bad), I'd be happy to accept what has happened and its consequences, and move on.
Leader [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Supportive
Explain: I like to know what needs to be done (and not be responsible if things go wrong) and I don't mind being led. However, if i think things aren't going well enough, or if i have doubts about leadership, i'm pretty comfortable taking the lead as well.
Confident [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] Modest
Explain: I think I'm pretty aware of my faults and my abilities, but i don't like other people knowing about it. I think that only puts expectations on me that aren't always reasonable.
Reserved [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Impulsive
Explain:As said before, I would rather not jump into any situation without fully understanding what I'm getting into. That being said, if i had no other choice, I suppose I could try to improvise.
Energetic [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] Calm
Explain: I'm pretty laidback about most things, though things that I'm really interested in (and interested in participating) I tend to get a bit hyped up. I could get a bit loud, but I usually stop myself if I find myself bordering on irritating.
Feminine [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: I like to dress up and try to be more feminine for those special occasions, but in general, I'm too lazy to dress up for uni every day.
4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
I think I work pretty well in teams. I'm pretty comfortable in letting other people take the lead, while I do what is assigned. My biggest fear when in teams is to be a liabilty to the team, and I generally work hard to prevent that from happening. I can get a bit impatient if it seems like its going nowhere (as in no one is willing to take responsibility or lead the team). In those cases, I'm likely to put my foot down and be a bit more bossy.
5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
I like to read, play games, knit, play table tennis and if it could be a hobby, sleeeeeep. That being said, I'd say most of my spare time is spent baking and looking for recipes to bake from.
6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
As I'm currently studying to be a Veterinarian, that is the course I'm bound to take. Though within the spectrum of jobs available for my course, I'm currently leaning towards being an Emergency Veterinarian or a Wildlife Vet.
I've always been keen to work with Wildlife. They hold an element of the unknown that appeals to me. The beauty and strength within are a plus as well.
I think Emergency work is interesting because of the stress in the job. I've always found that I worked better under pressure, thus being in a work environment which holds some level of pressure is likely to bring out greater potential from me.
FF Questions:
7) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.
FF8: I loved the artwork and the music of the game, which really set the mood to the game. It felt like there was greater involvement and development of supporting characters and having been in school for a greater part of my life, the academy setting of the game made it more relatable to me. Also, I always thought it was interesting how the game had characters whom combined represent most of the spectrum of social awkwardness.
FF9: To be honest, I didn't get through the whole game but I loved the world the game was set in, the different tribes and communities of people within the world.
8) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:
Quistis, Garnet/Dagger and Vivi. These three are pretty different in character, but I liked their strength, their awareness of their own failings, and their ability to push past their fears and insecurities.
9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:
Quistis. I relate mostly to her intense sense of self-awareness. I suppose, as I'm studying overseas at the moment, far away from my family, I can relate to her emotional detachment as well, but her independence and loneliness appeal to me more.
10) The FF game you liked playing least:
FF7: I didn't really relate to the characters, they all seemed to have some element of unbelievability in them.I thought there was so much more potential to the storyline and for non-main character development than what was given.
11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:
Cloud, because he seemed so indecisive and wishy-washy about things. Perhaps that is what made him a bit more human and less infallible, but I really don't have the patience for indecision. :/
Irvine, because he became so unbelievable (as in I don't believe a word he said) at the end.
12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):
Hyperion + No Mercy. (:
13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):
Odin and Bahamut. (Tonberry! if it could be summoned)
14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):
I liked Steal and Blue Magic, but my favourite would have to be Summons. The ability to call upon others to do my bidding is too good to pass up.
15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:
My favourite would have to be Triple Triad. I loved the artwork of the cards and trickiness of the game. Honestly, I had fun running around doing all the card-related quests.
16) Your favorite Cid:
FF9. He was so amusingly flawed, though I have to say, his wife probably helped bring the amusing out of him. (:
Apologies for the many one-line answers! It's been a while since I've played and I'm trying to remember the whys of what I liked, without making stuff up or fudging things around. I'd also been trying not to give in to the urge to play from the reminscing (1. because I can't afford to get pulled into games at the moment, and 2. my games are not with me, though I'm also resisting the urge to go out and buy them)
Thank you for taking the time to read this. <3

gah, if only I could do a tie vote! XD. In the end, I think I'm leaning a bit more towards Soldier though: being perceptive and observant, having strong conviction, being able to learn new things and adapt to them fairly quickly are traits MANY Soldier characters in the series have (Ingus, Lightning, Squall, Cecil, Ramza, Firion, and Warrior of Light being prime examples of this). Quite a few of them are hesitant to do things they aren't fully certain of (Cecil, Beatrix, Ramza, and Ingus), and many Soldier characters are known to try to hide what they're feeling from others (Lightning, Celes, Squall, Cloud, etc.). They're also characters who can hold grudges at times, and who might carry with them their past mistakes as a reminder (Celes, Beatrix, Cecil, etc.).Quite a few Soldier characters do tend to be more on the introverted or reserved side (Ramza, Cecil, Ingus), but they are capable of being sociable when they need to do so and often enjoy the company of close friends. They tend to be more realistic in their viewpoints, but many of them also like to see a silver lining too when they can (Zack, Tidus, Luneth, Luso). While they don't necessarily have to be leaders in their respective parties if they feel the group is working well or another person is more qualified, staying informed seems to be a top priority of many Soldier characters and they don't mind usually leading if they feel things aren't going so great in a group. Many Soldier characters (Ramza, Cecil, and Ingus for examples) are also rather modest when it comes to their abilities...realizing what they are, but not really telling others about them in great detail. They're sometimes willing to improvise when necessary, but quite a few Soldier characters like knowing extensive details about what they're getting into before doing so. While many of them can get rather passionate about what they're into (Tidus or Zack), many Soldier characters tend to be more calm-minded and try to rein in their energy level if they think they're getting too bothersome to others. Your reasoning behind why you picked both of your ideal career choices fits rather well with many Soldier characters' mindsets to me, and I could easily see quite a few of them agreeing with your thoughts on teamwork too.
Your thoughts on three of your favorite FF characters were neat to read! And yay for both Triple Triad and FFIX's Cid! ♥

Many Black Mages are perceptive (Lulu) and convicted (Rinoa), as well as able to learn new things (Rydia). Caution, calmness, modesty, and reservedness is a hallmark of many of the more mature black mages (Terra, Lulu, Edea), and cheerfulness is something found in the less mature ones (Rinoa, Palom, Vanille). You also have a disdain for poor leadership that I associate with both soldiers and black mages, but I think your preference for following a capable leader tips that over to the mage side. Your preference for femininity is also a mage trait, I think.
I love your favorite character choices! Garnet and Vivi are in my top five, and Quistis in my top ten.

Your weaknesses tend to be more characteristic of a soldier (or possibly white mage, depending on your motivation for hiding how you feel - i.e., protecting others). Observation and decisiveness, though listed as weaknesses, are soldier traits as well. Your perspective on teams, leadership, and the explanation of why Quistis, Garnet, and Vivi were your favorite characters sealed it for me.

It's your answers to #3 that remind me of this class the most. They're introverted, but cheerful unless something tragic just happened. They are more likely to not mind being lead than other types, but will step up at times. (i.e. Garnet was willing to step up after she saw her mother had gone crazy. Minwu was a leader within the rebellion, and the only one above him was highly competent.) They're also more modest than the other two types I was considering, soldiers and black mages, tend to be.
Your ideal profession sounds right up their ally, and I can see many of them disliking unrealistic characters as well... as they seem more of the type to like being able to relate and feel for something. (A lot of people do this, but I can see a few of soldier characters being more "I like this character because they're cool!" and such, where as I can't see any of the main white mages doing that.)

For all the reasons Virago_Queen covered above. I was leaning towards Soldier for a while, until I read some of your final fantasy choices ;) The fact that you think Cloud is wishy washy proves that you probably wouldn't fit in well with the "Soldier" type/stereotype :D

I definitely wanted to put you in one of the quieter classes, which excluded Thieves and Monks for me, but after that it was a bit difficult - however, I'm going with White Mage because I think your attitude reminds me of the quieter White Mages like Dagger, who often feels burdened by her responsibilities and is actually quite uncertain of herself for a long time. There's also that sense of determination and conviction in the face of adversity in characters like Yuna, as well as the entire 'lie to hide your feelings'. I think Yuna in particular keeps smiling because she's trying to mask the fact that she's upset, because her guardians will worry about her otherwise, and also because she's genuinely trying to make herself feel better.
I think worrying about being a liability is also a rather White Mage trait: they're self-conscious (aware of their faults and abilities), and they want to help, so worrying about being a liability is a logical extension of that. As healers, they work well in teams and I personally think it makes sense for a healer to worry about being useless :P They're also perceptive and prefer to let others take the lead, but they can put their foot down and make a difference - after all, if you think about FFX, Yuna is the leader of the group. She seems very deferential, but she's the leader and the rest are there to make sure she makes it to the end of her pilgrimage. I personally feel that Dagger's like that, too - she's quieter than Zidane, but there's a lot of strength of will that develops, and she is the Queen of Alexandria, so she has to be capable of leading.

Good to see you here ♥
I saw a little of Dragoon, Black Mage and White Mage. I'm not personally very familiar with Quisty, but I saw a lot of Dagger!
"I hide everything. I like to pretend everything is okay. I'd lie about what I really think, really feel, or how I am really doing."
A lot of what you wrote seems to ring true with her character as well. She's perceptive, adapts to foreign situations quickly, and she does like to pretend everything is okay. If everyone treats her like a small child, that's fine by her; she knocks them out with sleeping weed and goes about her duty as best and as bravely as she knows how.
Yuna and Vanille come to mind as well. They smile to keep the status quo, and try to see the best in things; Yunie is walking to her own death and Vanille held a cool, "stay positive" veneer as long as she could. As
You have a doctory career path, and you take to Summons as well :D (Speaking of which, total high-fives on your Summon choices.)

After a lot of thought (and reading what others have responded with) I narrowed it down to our two Mage classes. You're both studious and thoughtful (evident in your studies, your listed strengths) while reserved and cheerful. So at this point, really I could cast my vote either way and be happy with it.
So since Myst and Ets know you the best, and that they've made some excellent points regarding fear of being a burden, self-criticism etc. I'll go with their opinions and vote White Mage.
*brofist* Welcome, and I hope you enjoy yourself here! :3

I can see a bit of Soldier and Black Mage in your application, but my first impression was White Mage. You're introverted, realist, reserved/cautious most of the time and someone who doesn't panic in the face of advertity, traits that remind me of many white mage characters. You said you work pretty well in teams, and you're comfortable in letting others taking the lead, so I think White mage is the best fit!

I think what cinches it for me is your belief in the silver lining. Why else would someone fight if they didn't think it was going to make a difference? I don't think that holding onto hope is solely an optimist's trait, do you?
SORTED: WHITE MAGE
