Personality Questions:

1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)
Depends on who you ask, because my own view on myself varies greatly from how other people see me. Thankfully, it is me who's doing the filling so I get the final decisions.

1. Adaptability. I have moved around a lot, at times I have been in situations that I would sink if I don't get to my lateral thinking mode. As a result, I can quickly adapt to almost all situations.
2. Principled. Don't necessarily match up to other people's expectations of morality, but I can say for a fact that I have never ever broken any lines I've drawn for myself.
3. Independence, emotionally and physically.

2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.

1. I can procrastinate for my country. If I ever get around to it.
2. Emotional volatility. My highs and lows, can go from ecstatic to clinical depression four times an hour.
3. I can't get up in the morning. Sounds ridiculous as a "worst trait" here, but I can say that it affects me enough to shape my life in a way.

3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.

Introverted [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Extroverted
Explain:
When I tried to do tests on introversion versus extroversion, I get rather interesting results - it's either extreme extroversion, or extreme introversion. Which actually makes lots of sense.

I remember vividly as a child, I was textbook extrovert. I couldn't stand the thought of being on my own and I needed to be around other people, anyone, to be energised. In my teen years however due to the moving around, I ended up in a situation that I had to be isolated from the world for about three years or so, unable to communicate to people. The first two was horrendous, but as time went on I learned to be on my own and learned to enjoy my own company, so much that I now need to charge alone after being around people for long enough.

Having said that, I still get my urges of wanting the lime light. But only as one facet of persona. Extroverted in a theatric sort of way, you know someone who'd do the "I'M CAPTAIN BASCH FON RONSENBURG OF DALMASCA!" in middle of a street for the giggles. So in the end I'm going for introvert because if I have to pick one way or another for rest of my life, being alone wins (just by a bit).

Cheerful [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain:
Volatile, but averages out on the cheerful side. I'm likely to be the most happy, most chirpy cynic you'll ever meet.

Reserved [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Impulsive
Explain:
Impulsive on things that don't matter too much on the grand scale of things, such as just take a random day trip to a new place, get lost on purpose just for fun. However when it comes to bigger things like plan for life, I always have an idea on where to be in five years time even if I don't stick it out step by step.

Energetic [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Calm
Explain:
Energetic enough to have a sleeping problem. I don't do calm. Worse than Space Sphere on some days.

Feminine [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain:
I don't really believe in the scale of femininity/masculinity anyway, according to BBC's brain gender test apparently I'm smack in the middle of an average male so I'll put it here.

I am an effeminate dresser, solely because it's impossible to get trousers at my height. Given how I move, I'm kind of like Fem Commander Shepard in a Dress. Take it what you will, because this don't matter to me.

Grudge-holding [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Forgiving
Explain:
Another one of those, averages out at middle but reality is one or another extreme. I have a threshold of forgiveness. Usual minor things, I'm sweet. But if it's something that I believe is intentional, malicious or serious enough, I'm going to remember it and stay cautious for life.

4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
I prefer to work myself, a huge part of this is because of my sleeping problem, but also I like to take sole responsibility for my own muck ups because I know that when people slow me down and mess up, I will resent them. Regard to leading or supporting, I'm okay with either. I'm at the stage of my life that practically speaking I cannot be a leader as I am far too inexperienced, but eventually, once I have learned more, sure. I'd rather lead because I like to decide for directions. Ideally though, I lead myself and I support myself.

5) Spider-Man Decision: If you had to choose between saving two dozen innocent children and saving your best friend/significant other/person closest to you, which would you pick and why?

Split decision - saving the person(s) close to me. For a start, I care for people who I consider as close in a personal manner while hyperboles are really just that, hyperboles. Also in order for me to respect someone to that degree, I would know that they are a good human being and I would rather save someone who I know as a good person than a bunch of randoms of anything goes. I don't believe anyone are truly "innocent", children or not.

If the decision can be drawn out - ask what the person(s) close to me would prefer, discuss, and come to a conclusion and agreement between us because I don't make a decision for their life without them being the ultimate decider.

6) Your friend has had their feelings hurt and comes to you for consolation. What do you do? Let's say, two days later they come to you again still upset over the same issue. What would you do in that case?
Ask them why it's upsetting them. Ask if they want to talk about it more or leave it that. If they want to talk about it more, assure and keep confidentiality. Ask if they are here to vent or if they want to hear a practical solution. Find resources on what could help them with. Coming down to it, I don't think there's a one-for-all solution anyway, really it's about paying attention on what the person needs and see what I can do there.

Two days later over the same issue - where there elements that could've had something done to it? Did the friend have the chance of doing it? Did they do or not do it? This highly depends on the situation. I would be frustrated if it gets to a tad self-inflicted point but really, practically speaking this is rarely the case.

7) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
I game, I draw, I read, I write, I sculpt, I make, I walk, I internet. If all goes well I might even be FF-Landing. Of course, the procrastination thing means I'm most ended up in Tumblr or Twitter anyway.

8) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.

1. This is the most "suiting" career that I will never do - SAS type of soldier work. I love the clear goal, the autonomy of achieving so, the need of multi-discipline, the variety and being truly able to become the work for a moment. Of course, this is not possible as I am not patriotic enough to be a soldier. I'm not a pacifist as much as I need to be able to believe in a war to fight for it. Right now, I can safely say that I do not have the faith that any of the wars we are involved in are just, hence I would not be part of an armed force.

2. Part of me really want to be an illustrator, consider I really, really love drawing and when I draw or paint I'm at my happiest. I don't know if I have the right personality for it though, as I am a dreadful marketer.

3. Anything involves making, doing or creating things, really. If I weren't so poor at business and marketing, I would consider a tattoo artist.

FF Questions:

9) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.

FFXII - I loved the political backdrop of it. It was refreshing to play a character that wasn't the key player of the event, but rather having everything playing out on front of him while he was more a narrating side watcher. It is just such a deep story, I loved every bit of it.

FFIX - Just magical. The whole experience was from elsewhere.

FFVII - In an odd way, I loved it precisely because of how half made it was. The mood whiplash worked strangely well with this game. Now I was mourning for the death of a character I love greatly. Now I'm ... getting a table flipped on my face for skiing into a moogle?!

10) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:

Fang (FFXIII) - Fang is just perfect. She's a combination of powerful, strong willed, as well as she is intelligent enough to back it up. She's also pretty damn fun to be around.

Aeris (FFVII) - A holy slum rat is pretty interesting concept on its own. I found Aeris sassy, street smart, and she really knows what she wants, what she needs to do and she's anchored like that. If that means throwing Cloud into a dress, or keep on being awesome after getting killed, bring it on. I love how Aeris grabs life on its horns and just tackles it.

Selphie (FFVIII) - She certainly makes me laugh. Need something done? She's there doing it now! The sort of person who makes things happen, and having a blast while doing so.

11) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:

Cloud (FFVII) - without getting too much into personal details, Cloud is a character I "get". Certainly in the sense of this is hopeless, this is confusing, but he still fought on for the people he cared for. I don't believe that I can ever get all the answers I want or if I can ever be optimally functional, but still gonna try, half broken or not. Then there are the less than glorious moments such as running errands delivering laxative to randoms. My life, Cloud. My life. It's like the Scrubs attitude - get mopey for a second but then look around, the entire world around me is just so absurd and I just have to join and laugh. Yes, I am rather bitter that so much of that was lost in the compilation, why?

12) The FF game you liked playing least:

"Playing" you say. FFXII. I loved everything about it except playing it.

13) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:

Rinoa (FFVIII) - I'm not a fan of people who constantly get themselves into trouble and dragging down others with them. Constantly. Constantly.

Yuna (FFX) - Too much of the Virginal Precious Complex for me, combined with frustrating naivety.

Cid (FFVIII) - Every time things got real, he backs out of his responsibility and bolts. Cheers for that, leader.

14) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):

I'm mesmerised by FFXIII's gunblade and how it transforms. Even if we almost never shoot.

Similarly, I can watch Fusion Sword transforming forever and ever and ever.

Practicability wise, I love the custom weapons in FFX with Overdrive to AP, Triple AP and Triple Overdrive. Pretty much how I manage to build my characters to 255 in every stats.

15) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):
While I will always be thankful for the ten minutes ten time from FFVIII's Eden, the winner goes to Phoenix for being attacker AND healer at the same time. I love you Phoenix.

16) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):
Spell: Doomsday of Vivi (IX), given how over the top the whole thing is.

I had most fun with FFXII's Quickening but it's not really one single attack.

17) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:
Celestial weapons of FFX. Let's never talk about the chocobo seagull course again. Ever.

18) Your favorite Cid:
Dr Cid, FFXII. The size of that gun alone sold him for me.

19) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.
Inclined to say "no soldier because one of my answers could've skewed to soldier too much" but then I thought, whateves. I'm free game, though I'm not too sure what Dragoons specialise in FF-land here? Like blue mage, or a soldier that jumps?

I'm going to be weird and say Thief, for pretty much the same reasons as [livejournal.com profile] lumati. I can see where the Soldier votes are coming from, but during my read, I didn't catch much of it, myself. I find a lot of your answers and interests similar to how I feel, which might have been what tipped my judgment?

You seem rather cheerful and energetic overall; you even said so. Plus, I see adaptability going for thief too, and independence as well.

Your Spiderman decision is also very thiefy.

And your whole... theatrical thing. I kind of associate theatrics and wanting the limelight with thieves, since they always have very dramatic personalities (ie, Zidane).
