My determination. I don't just give up. I keep pushing through, even if I'm uncomfortable, even if I'm tired and sad. I follow through.

My intuition. I am hypersensitive to other people's emotions. I can almost always tell how the people around me are feeling, what to say that will make them feel better, how to tactfully make suggestions.

My tolerance. I don't care what people do, as long as it doesn't damage someone else and they don't try to force their beliefs on other people. I can accept almost anyone I meet for who they are, and I don't assume I know anything about their situation, which is nice.

2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.

My forgetfulness. I forget lots of things and it makes me come across as flaky or uncaring, when that's not the case at all. I'd just forget my own head if it wasn't screwed on.

My sensitivity. I can take a lot more abuse than I used to. I mean, I used to start crying anytime someone was angry with me. But I'm still so sensitive--I hate when others are upset, I hate when people are angry, and I can't let those feelings go, it really affects me.

My anxiety. I worry about things constantly. Stupid things, things that honestly don't matter. It's something I'm improving on, but I'm not perfect.

Explain:  It depends. I'm very forgiving to a point. However, if I'm let down enough times, I hold the grudge and don't let go of it.

4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.

I like to do things efficiently. Sometimes, that means working alone. Sometimes, that means working in a group. Sometimes, I lead. Sometimes, I follow. Mostly, I end up leading. But however I can get the job done best is how I'm going to get it done. Recently, in ASL, I chose to work alone because no one in class that was a hard worker signed as well as I do and had the same work ethic, so I decided it would be best for me to do it alone. However, in history, I gravitated to hard-working people, and we divided and conquered to do research. It just depends. I strive to work smarter, not harder.

5) Spider-Man Decision: If you had to choose between saving two dozen innocent children and saving your best friend/significant other/person closest to you, which would you pick and why?

The two dozen innocent children. I'm very much someone who tries to follow the path of the greatest good. True, I'll miss my person closest to me more than I'll miss those children, but there are two dozen on them, and one of my person. It wouldn't be fair to rescue my person, it wouldn't be right. So I'd save the children.

6) Your friend has had their feelings hurt and comes to you for consolation. What do you do? Let's say, two days later they come to you again still upset over the same issue. What would you do in that case?

I sit down and talk with them. I walk them through how they're feeling and give them advice on what I think they should do. I give them a hug if they need it. :)

7) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
I write. I read. I run. I really enjoy spending time with my friends. I play video games.

8) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
I'd love to teach English. I adore the English language and I think that teenagers don't have an appreciation for how beautiful it is.
I'd love to write. I love figuring out how to make things sound good and creating stories and characters and sentences that work.
I'd love to interpret. I love sign language and I love English and finding ways to communicate well in both languages makes me happy.


FF Questions:

9) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.

Final Fantasy Tactics. Because it's so much fun to play, I can control everything, the characters and story is amazing and it is just so awesome.

Final Fantasy XII. Because the world is so rich and the story is so twisted and convoluted and the characters are fantastic.

Final Fantasy XIII. Because I really connected to the characters and their relationships with each other.

10) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:

Lightning Farron. Because I can relate to her and she's beast and she'd do anything for her sister.

Vaan. Because I found his growth to be really effective and I thought that the way he dealt with anything was poignant and real.

Fran. Because she is badass, without being a total jerk or hard.

11) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:

Lightning Farron. Because I understand the desire to go alone and protect your family by yourself. I understand the anger and the desire to hide the vulnerability.

Yuffie Kisaragi. Because I understand what it feels like to have people not trust you and to always be underestimated and to smile anyone, and try to keep everyone together.

Ramza. Because I understand what loss feels like. I understand what it feels like to question your entire past and to discover that all of it was wrong.

12) The FF game you liked playing least:

Final Fantasy X. It just wasn't for me.

13) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:

I am really not a fan of Jecht. He really annoyed me. I kinda wanted to punch him

Algus. He was such a jerk in Tactics. Killing him is one of the highlights of the game for me.

14) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):

Save the Queen. I loved the XII incarnation of it, because I always gave it to Ashe. She could take care of herself, dammit. She didn't need anyone to save her.

15) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):

Quetzalcoatl. Totally. I always gave him to Selphie and watched him wreak havoc.

16) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):

Lightning's Army of One. I spammed it just so I could watch Lightning kick ass. On a similar note... I also I adore Yuffie's Doom of the Living. I'd stick a mime materia on her and go whoop up on monsters.

17) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:

Chocobo breeding and racing. (I actually really liked doing it. It was fun).

18) Your favorite Cid:

Oh, tough one. Probably Dr. Cid from FFXII. Because he was crazy and awesome and he had Venat and fathered Balthier.

I'm reading the beginning and I thought you would be a determined, driven white mage, as I read along I'm getting more and more a Monk feel over how energetic and how much more stubborn you are but in the end, it is still white mage that won out.

I think I'm going to go with White Mage for you. Your spider-man decision is probably what cut it for me, and the way you deal with your friend's issue (I think a Monk would most likely offer to beat the crap out of whatever it is that's bothering her with much gusto)

I am so torn...you actually strike me as this really interesting and awesome mix of Soldier and White Mage (oh, you could be our first Paladin, hehe! ♥)! XD Still, leaning more towards one class...I'd say White Mage overall. Like many of the White Mage characters (Minwu, Sara Altney, Aria, Alus, Rosa, Porom, Aerith, Ovelia, Garnet, Eiko, Yuna, Prishe, Penelo, Hope, and Vanille to name a few! WHEW~!) you're determined, tolerant, and have good intuition. Some of them can also be slightly forgetful, sensitive, or anxious as well. Quite a few of the White Mage characters like Aria, Aerith, Prishe, Vanille, and Eiko can be either energetic and/or pretty extroverted and seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves...but they're often keeping their inner thoughts and feeling to themselves. Most of the White Mage characters tend to fall into the more cheerful category most of the time and many are more likely to want to "go with the flow" and be somewhat impulsive (such as Aerith and Vanille...or Yuna in FFX-2!). They can be forgiving to a point, but aren't necessarily against holding grudges either...it took Hope a pretty long time to let go of his grudge. Your style even strikes me as being very fitting for a White Mage since many of the tend to just wear what is comfortable too!

Your answer to the team question strikes me as fitting for both a Soldier and a White Mage! Both job classes are more likely to want to work efficiently (be that by themselves, with others, as the leader, as a follower, etc.). I think the strive to work smarter, not harder mentality you have fits well for many White Mage characters! Your Spider-Man decision seems like something most of the White Mage characters would do as well...many of them I could easily picture saying that they'd pick saving the two dozen children because that would be ultimately what would be the greatest good as the White Mages are generally a class of characters that would understand *and* make that type of sacrifice. Your answer to the consoling your friend question strikes me as very White Mage-fitting too! I could even picture the White Mages in your ideal job answers...and your reasoning behind picking the characters you relate to made me think of quite a few White Mages as well (even though most of them were Soldier characters, lolz! One day, my brain will make sense). :)

You, my dear, are a White Mage, I'm afraid there's no questioning that. I don't think my mind strayed once to another class while I was reading your application.

Your "Spider-Man decision" answer really sealed it for me. The greater good, no matter what the cost, which reminds me a lot of Yuna. Personal self-sacrifice to save those who cannot save themselves. "Don't say it isn't worth it, because it is."

Yay for FFXII and FFXIII! Lightning is so awesome.

I really want to say Monk or Soldier, especially since there are sensitive members within those groups, but overall... Yes, White Mage. The intuition is a quintessential white mage trait, the Spider-Man decision response fits them better than the others, and just... pretty much everything, sans how the determination and cheerfulness remind me more of Monks. However, many of your responses show more of a White Mage type of thinking to me, as they have a certain careful thoughtfulness to them.

As predictable as it probably is by this point...I think I'm leaning the most towards a White Mage vote as well. I can definitely see both Soldier (haha, Breyzy's idea of you being our first Paladin sounds kind of awesome! XD) and Monk at times your application, but overall I think White Mage just stood out a little bit more to me. Determination, intuition, and tolerance are all things most White Mages generally have in common...and a few of them do have moments of forgetfulness, can be VERY sensitive, or can be highly anxious at times too.

Quite a few White Mage characters (Yuna in her playful moments, Garnet, Vanille, Aria, Prishe, Aerith, Porom, and Eiko) do seem to be a bit more extroverted at times or wear their heart on their sleeve...but they are often showcased to like to keep their innermost thoughts and feelings to themselves and not show them openly at the same time. Many White Mage characters tend to be more on the cheerful side of the spectrum generally, and quite a few of them tend to be characters who prefer to go with the flow as well (Aerith, Vanille, and Yuna in FFX-2)--and quite a few of them can be rather energetic at times too. While most White Mage characters can be quite forgiving to a point...there are exceptions to that given very, VERY extreme situations too (Ovelia's actions at the end of Final Fantasy Tactics and Hope being unwilling to let go of his anger for a rather long time in FFXIII are prime examples of this).

How you described what you like to see happen in group-work reminds me a bit of White Mages in the FF series as they tend to like for things to be efficient and effective in work situations. Your reasoning behind your answer to the Spider-Man decision question fits pretty well for White Mages to me too--as many of them I think could relate to your desire to do the greatest good by saving the children in terms of doing what you feel is right (even if means having to make a personal sacrifice that will effect you deeply). Sitting down and talking with a friend who is going through a tough time, offering them advice and support (and even a hug if needed) also sounds like something a White Mage would do in a similar situation. Your creative and communication focuses in your ideal career choices also strikes me as being rather White Mage in a way as many of those characters tend to like either creative endeavors or trying to figure out how to open channels of communication with others (and I could see them wanting to teach English and sign language to others as well for similar reasons!).

Going to go with a White Mage vote myself, though my second pick for you would be Monk due to your energy levels and impulsiveness.

Your sensitivity, forgetfulness, intuition and tolerance all seem to be major White Mage traits, who are usually characterized as being... well, all of those things. Add in the strength of determination (such as seen in Yuna and many other white mages) and I'm pretty certain of this.

I kind of think I have to go with White Mage for you as well, for reasons already very well explained. Honestly, I can see you fitting into more than one class, but overall your sensitivity seems to shine through, and I think I associate emotional intelligence most strongly with White Mages.

Determination is actually one of the key traits I see in White Mages -- they don't shrink back when push comes to shove, and often their responsibilities and choices are geared towards 'following the path of the greater good', as you put it. Other major factors were your tolerance, sensitivity, and intuition, as well as your stance on it not being fair to rescue the one person you loved most against the 24 innocent children.

Monk did cross my mind for more than just a moment, but I think that White Mages (Vanille and Aerith come to mind!) can be somewhat energetic and impulsive too. Vanja put it much better than I could when she wrote that your responses showed 'a certain careful thoughtfulness to them', and this voice/style resonated well with the White Mage vote :)

I'm going to be a weirdo and give a (useless, admittedly XD;) Soldier vote...? I do see a lot of white mage, but to me, you seem more kinda like. Well-rounded in everything, leader as well as follower, and kinda fairly self-sufficient? And the characters you admired and related to were very soldiery, and the reasons you give admire them more for their growth and ass-kicking-ness.

I know: super cool and unique, right? ;) But I agree with everyone else, and you just seem to me to have a serenity that Monks don't have. Eilia made my favourite point: you would stay calm where a Monk would beat someone up. :p It's weird, because I associate energy with Monks, and you seem to have that, but I feel like you have Yuna-type energy of your own, where you would give it your all to help cheer people up and help them stay strong.

I guess I sort of see where the White Mage votes are coming from? But I really got a Soldier vibe from your app, and I can't really stray from that now! It was your focus on efficiency that really hit it for me - Soldiers kinda epitomise being efficient, I always thought. You've got the upbeat nature of a Soldier like Zack, and you adapt to situations like Lightning (I always think of her as adaptable to the extreme, simply cos of her Med, Com, Rav combo).

A couple of answers pushed me towards soldier: your association with Lightning, your willingness to lead and seek efficiency when possible, and your determination. I also saw some thief characteristics. But your Spider Man answer and the overall tone of your responses negated that initial vibe for me.

I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I'm going to have to go with monk. The outgoing boisterous extroversion while still keeping your feelings close to your sleeve, the desire to place the greater good over your own wants (as exemplified with the Spiderman question), the will to kick butt (Lightning's Army of One and Yuffie's Doom of the Living), and your overall writing tone gave me this impression.

I can see a bit of Monk and White Mage in your application, but in the end I think I have to agree with the Soldier votes. Your three positive traits ( determination,intuition and tolerance ) reminded me of many Soldier characters, because I think many of them are very determined and always do their best in everything they do and since they're usually the ones keeping the team together they're also pretty tolerant and understanding. Many of your answers to the "Rate yourself" reminded me of characters like Zack, so in the end Soldier wins out.

I was afraid I was the only one to say it but i see you as Soldier too. You definitely strike me as a mix of Soldier and White Mage (which is funny considering that they're quite different). Your kindness and sensitive nature makes me definitely think of White Mages but even though, you do sound quite rational? In my opinion at least. The first thing you said it's that you're very determined which made me think of Lightning right away tbh, haha. Soldiers aren't always serious, calm and cautious. There are always Soldiers like Zack or Tidus for example that can be energetic and fun without really being... stupid/reckless, for example. You keep your emotions bottled up, you can do great working alone. It's another thing that reminds me of that class. A very few of them can be called somewhat sensitive which is why i was a bit hesitant about my vote but I see a bit more Soldier in you than White Mage. I hope my vote makes sense, I am a bit tired.
