roaxPersonality Questions:
1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)
1. I'm particularly calm in many definitions of the word. I always keep my head, rarely show signs of panic in stressful or "dangerous" situations, and while I can become irritated or disgusted, it's nearly impossible to make me angry.
2. I'm also quite analytical... which I suppose can be both a positive and negative. On the plus side, I can rationalize before making decisions. On the minus side, when you combine it with the above trait, I can come off as calculating to some people.
3. I'm independent, which is rather self-explanatory. Please note this is definitely not the same thing as being a loner; I like being around (non-annoying) people, but I'm simply self-efficient and self-taught about many aspects of life.
2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.
1. I'm very self-critical and am prone towards verbally beating myself up whenever I make a mistake. Since I do this even with relatively minor things, this has a number of other negative side-effects I'll let you ponder. I am critical of others to an extent as well, but I'm usually much more forgiving in that case.
2. Stubbornness. I won't easily give up or back-down, and while that determination may seem like a positive trait, once I get an idea in my head, I find myself wanting to try it regardless of what many others think of it.
3. My personality can seem rather contradicting. For instance, I can be cynical, yet any cynicism stems from my ideals about how the world should be (which is relative, I know, yet--) creating disappointment. Or how, while I see no reason to be loyal to anything you're born into and/or don't know well, I'm incredibly loyal to those I consider friends or more. I've had people view me as near ruthless, yet others see me as understanding and helpful. As for why this is a negative, it does occasionally create problems...

Explain: I'm not shy and I do enjoy being around people that I actually like, but I also tend to value my alone time and am not really the social butterfly sort.

Explain: I am rather melancholic inside, but I'm good at hiding it, and it's not as if I'm constantly dwelling on it or anything-- if there's a chance for enjoyment, I'll take it.

Explain: I... don't think these are really opposite. A good leader supports those that follow them, and while I do often find myself in a leadership position, it's not really my first choice-- I prefer to be the second-in-command who gives advice and influences the leader, but it rarely works out that way.

Explain: This is tricky. I can be confident if I know I'm good at something, but I can be rather modest and even rather insecure if I feel that I'm not good at something and wish to be. I don't usually let these insecurities show, however, so I guess very slightly more confident?

Explain: I'm certainly more cautious than impulsive, but I'm not always reserved. I can be outspoken, but just... not impulsive.

Explain: I'm often very calm in terms of mindsets, but I can be energetic if I've had too much caffeine or am particularly excited about something, which happens rarely, but still.

Explain: On pretty much every quiz ever, I get stuck in the middle as neither stereotype fits me well. While I may be seen as a rather tomboyish female, I'm certain that I'd also be seen as an effeminate male if I were the opposite gender.
4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
... haha, why do I suddenly feel like I'm being interviewed for a literal job. Anyway, it really depends on the group I'm in. I've been stuck with people who just want to be lazy before, and in that case I automatically take up leadership and motivate the others to actually do something. In the case that I like the other people and they're capable, I'm content with sitting in the back and offering advice from afar... As I said in the leader/supportive question, that's what I prefer anyway. I find it impossible to just let everyone else make decisions for me, though.
5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
I enjoy playing video games
6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
1. While I'll need to narrow it down soon, science fields appeal to me. Picking just one to specialize in is definitely difficult, however. On one hand, I'm fascinated by the unknown, and the largest amount of question marks seem to be in the physics field. Not that there aren't plenty of question marks elsewhere, but many of the current large questions about time and space are intriguing to me. On the other, I'd love to do something which I know could actually make a difference beyond just expanding knowledge, such as working to find more permanent environmental solutions. ... and on a completely different scale yet, I've considered anthropology since I find culture - and by an extension humanity itself - pretty interesting, especially when taking into considering how we create shallow differences despite the vast amount of similarities when looking past those.
2. I've seriously considered becoming a lawyer before, as I do enjoy debating and it's one of the things I am pretty confident about. So long as you don't shove your ethics in a tiny box, it's another profession which fulfills the "make a difference" side of things.
3. If all else fails, you'll find me at the local bus stop preforming for coins!
FF Questions:
7) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them.
Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.
Likely IV/IV: The After Years (since it's the only FF sequel which does retain the original feel of the game and basically continues and expands upon where the first left off, I always tend to combine them both as "FFIV," heh), VI, and IX. Those three games had the most endearing characters to me, and since characters at least partially drive the plot, that consequently made the overall stories more appealing.
8) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:
Narrowing it down to three is difficult, but for one I'll say Edward. Yes, I'm serious. I know he gets a lot of hate, but I've always seen him as a peaceful character who just gets caught up in bigger events. (... and while a lot of the hate seems to come from his fighting abilities, I found them useful-- mass confusion songs ftw! ... and hide + salve + phoenix down saved me more than a couple of times in the sequel) I also liked how he managed to find ways to help out despite even being bed-ridden for a time, which led to some pretty clever ideas on his behalf. (... which is even more explored in The After Years, wherein he's actually considered brave by his subjects.)
For the next two... ah, can I pick the entire casts of both VI and IX?
9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:
Hmm. Freya seems to be the FF character I'm most often compared to, if that counts for anything. After replaying IX awhile ago, I could definitely see quite a few comparisons as well-- she's generally more introverted, but can also be rather talkative (to the point Amarant even considers a bit too much), logical, independent, and while she may be seen as rather serious, she also jokes around and makes fun of Zidane on occasion.

VIII. Trust me, you don't even want to get me started.
11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:
Squall, Rinoa, and Quistis. Squall did nothing but complain and manage to be pessimistic about every possible situation-- it was maddening. Rinoa did nothing but swoon over Squall and constantly nearly get herself killed. Quistis just... did nothing when she wasn't making very, very strange decisions. (i.e. leaving her post during the middle of a vitally important mission when she could have just waited until it was over to apologize)
... see, I told you that you didn't want to get me started on VIII. D:
12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):
I remember thinking many of the poles, staffs, and bows in FFXII were rather pretty, but I can't recall their names right off. Overall, I like many of the more realistic looking weapons, but giant swords with random bullets in them just make me laugh. ;X
13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):
Ixion. I don't have a valid reason beyond undead electric horses look cool and I loved summoning it to trap my enemies in a giant electric sphere. XD
14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):
I almost said "confuse," but since it applies to all techniques, Alluring Air/Confuse Song/name varies depending on the game and version? ;X Confusion is nice, but mass confusion is even better! I seriously think I used it more than "heal" in FFV since even many of the enemies in the final dungeon weren't immune to it. (... and would do things like cast death on themselves when confused. XD)
Beyond that, Blizzaga and many of Edgar's unique tools = awesome.
15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:
The mark questing in FFXII. It was actually rather fun trying to figure out how to beat the marks at lower levels... and you often did get exp and items from it, so I didn't feel like I was wasting my time. XD
16) Your favorite Cid:
Definitely Dr. Cid. My bias towards mad scientists aside, I found the twist about how he isn't really "mad" interesting, as well as how his overall motives were more in the realm of just being on the opposite side of the protagonists.
17) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.
