Personality Questions:

1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)

- Loyal; when it comes to people I care about, and people that I've gotten to know and trust - I tend to be very loyal because if they're always around and there for me, I would always return the favor.

- Considerate; I always put people before me. It's only fair in my opinion, because I'm the kind of person to stick up for others when they can't for themselves.

- Helpful; People tell me I'm too nice all the time, but I personally do not think it is a crime to help someone out when they're in need, or just for recreation. I enjoy it.
2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.

- Reserved; I'm usually known for my upbeat and lively personality, and usually when I'm down or reserved about something I'm always found wanting to be alone or just quiet. It bothers people when I do that, 'cause they're not used to seeing me down, and that's why I find it a bad trait of mine.

- Clumsy; Oh man. .I get prettyy clumsy on a daily basis. Either if it's with friends or just by myself, I don't usually call it me having an 'off day', otherwise everyday would be like that. But it's something I'm not all that fond of, even if it's how I am or if it can be somewhat amusing to others.

- Harsh; I find myself spilling out when I know I shouldn't say, but if it's the truth or it just needs to be said, then it would leave me no choice. I know many people don't have thick skin to handle it, and this is what makes me feel bad, it usually ends up haunting me later on when I realize what I say. But I always come back around to fix my mistakes.
3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.

Introverted [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: I'm definately a little more extroverted than introverted. It really depends on the situation. When I'm around people I know or just meet, sure I get a bit shy, but I'm not always like that in the end. I can get a bit friendly. . .and talkative.

Cheerful [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: I like putting smiles on other peoples faces, not making them frown just by staring at me as if somethings wrong. I'm always in a good mood and it's usually rare for me to be gloomy. People worry and I don't want that.

Leader [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Supportive
Explain: I support more than I lead because it usually takes a lot to be a leader. I don't think I'd ever have that kind of power or courage to lead anything. But support it I shall.

Confident [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Modest
Explain: I would say I'm inbetween this, but if I overlook myself for both, I'm way more confident than modest. Even if I do have my moments. Sure, I may doubt certain things, but in the end I never give up.

Reserved [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] Impulsive
Explain: I'd definately have to be in the middle of that. Only because I wouldn't want to annoy people if I'm so impulsive or worry them if I'm too reserved. I try to balance things out for the best for myself and for others.

Energetic [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Calm
Explain: I'm too energetic, but I have my moments. Like I stated before, I wouldn't want to annoy people. .or myself if I'm soo energetic all the time. I know when there are times to be hyped and times to be serious and calm.

Feminine [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: My feminine side shows more than my tomboyish side. Not the kind of feminine that I'd back off from a fight 'cause I'm afraid I'd break a nail. No. >_> if I have to fight, I will.

4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.

I believe it really is a good experience, because you get to know more about the people you're working with, and how they're able to assist you. I'd also preferto let the others make decisions and let me do the leg work because I like challenges. If it means getting involved with something greater than myself, than I'm up for it.
5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?

Video Gamess. >_> and Photography. Video Games because I love it. .duh & of course I love Final Fantasy & KH games because the storylines, characters, weapons, etc are just amazing. I also love Photography. I love capturing moments because they go as quickly as then come.
6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.

- Photography; As said in the question above, it's pretty self explainatory. (:
FF Questions:

7) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.

- FFX; 'cause I fell in love with the storyline and characters.

- FFXII; Same as above, The story is just so complex and amazing & also because it's a world I would love to live in.
8) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:

- Zack Fair; Oh man, I'll just keep this short, 'cause I wouldn't wanna type up an entire essay on this. XD He's. Just. Too. Amazing.

- Balthier; I his cocky & charming personality. One of the many reasons I'd love to live in a world like Ivalice and become a Sky Pirate.

- Fang; I may not like XIII that much, but she's just a sexy character. .>_>, and I love her personality.
9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:

- Rikku; but probably the FFX version of her. Not the X-2 one. People tell me it all the time. - Shrug. -

- Aerith; I have my moments. Life of the party maybe?
10) The FF game you liked playing least:

- FFXIII; I guess I'm just not a big fan of the battle system. - Shrug. -
11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:

- Seymour; Maaan, in FFX he just wouldn't die fo'shiz. D8< he just came off as annoying to me, and all of his damn forms were just so contradicting. Like the first and second one, how it takes life away from him to help? C'mon. >_> - Doesn't want to start a rant. -

- Baralai; He's such a little girl. D: there's just something about him I just do not like at all.
12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):

Rikku's Claw weapons. Especially Godhand. I think they just look so cool to have on your arm as a weapon, and the detail on it is just really nice too.
13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):

Anima; She's just an amazing summon, even if she just stands there all chained up, letting her eye do all the work. XD and I've always loved her overdrive too.
14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):

- Steal/Mix; I always enjoyed stealing items from enemies, just 'cause I'm always so curious if I'd get something useful or worthless. & the mix overdrive because, I love putting different items together to make something greater of use.

- Feral Strike/Whip Kick; Fran's Quickenings are just too awesome. <3
15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:

FFXII marks! Omgg. x__x I simply love the game, and I think I spend a little too much time on them. Especially the Trickster Mark (man he's a sneaky/fast one.) Yiazmat Wyrm & the Hell Wyrm. Long battles, but I always feel accomplished.
16) Your favorite Cid:
FFXII's Dr. Cid because I love the mad scientist type for him, even though I still seem him in between beeing good and bad. And of course, it's Balthier's dad. duh
17) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.

You're very Rikku-like, I agree! I'm split between Thief and White Mage because you're upbeat and cheerful; you said you liked to help people and you don't like annoying people, which seems very White Mage; but on the other hand you said you're energetic and mostly confident, which makes me think Thief. I'm going to go with Thief for now, but yeah I'm a bit torn.

Yay, a fellow FFXII fan! XD Anyways, I should probably get to voting now, yes? I definitely think you're an interesting combo of a Thief and White Mage...which actually has me leaning the most towards Monk in the end! I could picture you specifically as a Monk character like Prishe (who uses an interesting blend of White Magic and Monk skills!). Like a lot of Monk characters, you're loyal, considerate, helpful, and clumsy. While known for their more upbeat personalities generally, Monk characters do tend to have reserved moments and traits...and some can come across as blunt or harsh at times (Amarant and Prishe, for examples). Most Monk characters are more extroverted, cheerful, favor support more than leadership, more in-between reserved/impulsive, more energetic but have calm moments, and feminine but still knows how to fight. Many Monk characters are pretty confident, but they also have moments when they doubt themselves as well. Monks definitely love challenges and I could really picture them viewing working on a team as a good experience as well. :)

I could see quite a bit of White Mage AND Monk in you (especially when I take into account characters like Prishe who uses a combination of those two jobs as her fighting style--actually, I could see you being quite similar to her in a way!)...though I think I'm leaning a bit more towards a Thief vote overall. Many characters who fall into the Thief job are loyal, considerate, and helpful characters (such as Edge, Vaan, Zidane, Yuffie, Rikku, Locke)...though they can also be rather harsh at times (Shadow, Yuffie, and Edge in particular), and there is at least one example of a Thief/Ninja character who can be somewhat more reserved and less open as well (Shadow). They tend to be described more often than not as rather friendly characters once they've gotten to know people, tend to be cheerful, are more supportive (though a few such as Edge, Vaan, and Zidane do display leadership qualities at times), tend to be more confident, some of them are quite balanced in terms of reserved/impulsive behavior (such as Locke and Zidane), and they tend to be more energetic though usually not to the point of annoyance as well. I could even see quite a few Thief characters from the series agreeing with your thoughts on group work too! :)

And yay for FFX, FFXII, Zack, Balthier, AND Fang love! ♥

I'm going to say Monk as well. You seem positive, confident and energetic, and your harshness also speaks of bluntness that monks are characteristic of. The feminine side of you is most like Tifa or Prishe. ;p

You seem to relate most to thieves, but monks can use claws too! *laugh*

Also, total love for Zack, Fang and Balthier.

While I so see some Thief in you, I'll definitely say Monk. To me, your answers just really scream Monk to me. Monks always seem to be impulsive, usually cheerful (but sometimes rather shy), and love to support and work in groups. They also tend to be a tad more extroverted and just generally have a good fighting/"don't give up!" spirit. So while I see some Thief and even some White Mage, you generally give me a Monk vibe more than anything~

Hopping on the Monk train! You just don't seem quite hyper or crazy enough to be a Thief, and your bluntness/honesty really speaks to the Monk class. Not really seeing much White Mage (you seem nice but not super sweet). I agree with the mentions of you being Tifa-like, in particular.

Your three favorite characters are my three favorites too! From the comments, lots of people here are fans. ^_^ Not hard to understand, though, they're awesome.

/jumps into Zack/Fang/Balthier fans bandwagon. About Seymour, believe it or not, i didn't have many troubles with him especially compared to Jecht or that sanctuary keeper. I don;t even want to think how much time it took me to beat it and everyone said it was easy :x Anyways to the actual vote... like everyone, I am totally torn between Thief and Monk. There are some parts one of the job doesn't fit perfectly and the other way round but in the end I think I see a little bit of Monk too. You mentioned you're clumsy and harsh and while some of the thieves can be honest/harsh, I always think they cannot really be clumsy since well, they're thieves but maybe I am weird. Monks are loyal, helpful, harsh and some of them even considerate (moreso the monks from older games). You're extroverted, cheerful, confident, energetic. While I see monks as more of impulsive group than thieves some of the monks (again, from older FF games) are in between reserved and impulsive, I think! The fact you relate to Rikku the most made me think a bit more about thieves again, same with your preferences but as it's been mentioned, monks can use claws too.

I can see a bit of Thief as well in your application but in the end I am leaning more towards Monk. Like many Monk characters you're very loyal, helpful, and harsh, more extroverted than introverted, confident and energetic. Honeslty I can see a lot of Tifa in your positive traits and your negative remind me a lot of characters like Amarant and the overall tone of your application remind me more of Monk than thief.

I see some thief, but overall I think I'm going to go with Monk. Your positive/negative traits really fit well with that class, and you have an energy and enthusiasm that I associate with them. Also, you don't strike me as being quite as outgoing as the thief class, so Monk it is.

Monk but with a bit of Thief as well. I'm thinking Monk for you because you mentioned you're extroverted but not extremely extroverted, but still you can get friendly and talkative and this remind me a lot of characters like Zell and Tifa somehow. I also think that this class fits your "Personality Questions" nicely, especially your weaknesses. Like I said before I can also see a bit of Thief in your answers, to be honest your strong points remind me a lot of Zidane but you seem somehow more calm and less cheerful than characters like Rikku, Zidane, Edge, etc. so I'm leaning more towards Monk for you.

[identity profile] far-to-nowhere.livejournal.com 2011-01-27 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I was torn between thief and monk but your worst traits made me think more of a Monk. Your inability to control your thoughts and having a need to express them. But your good traits show you have a good heart, just like monks.

Like others, you seem to be split between a perky, quick-thinking thief and an impulsive, loud monk. So I won't bother you vote too much and call you a Monk. Your dichotomies are so monk-ish, with a little thief peppering. I just love the way you answer your questions; cheery with a weight to them. Crummy answer is crummy.

[identity profile] the-404-error.livejournal.com 2011-01-27 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I can definitely see how either Thief or Monk would work, but I must agree with the consensus with Monk here. They're a little harsher as well as more supportive, even if both types tend to be more on the energetic, helpful, and extroverted scale. I can also easily see them appreciating the more physical moves like Whip Kick/Feral Strike and Claw weapons... since many of them even do have claws as their default weapons if they don't fight barehanded.

(Unrelated, but yes, someone else who loves the XII marks! ♦)
