Personality Questions:

1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)

Analytical - In... all senses of the word, I think. I analyze most situations, I love logical problems, and one of my friends said I was really self-aware, which, I think, is more like self-analytical? I think about issues I care about, and look at situations from all angles, and take a break to think up of new strategies whenever I'm stuck.

Open-Minded - So open my brain can almost fall right out! I am willing to try/consider just about anything as long as it's not harmful.

Artistic - :D I love drawing and writing. I spend most of my non-gaming free time creating pretty things.

2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.

Insecure - I am very. Even if I know something is true, I still need reassurance all the time.

Arrogant - Might seem to contradict the previous point, but I am. I very often have this attitude of I am awesome and I know it. It applies more to my works than myself, though, I think. I am immensely proud of what I make most of the time.

Selfish - Just a bit. I try to be generous when it doesn't quite affect me, but when it's something I want (either physically or a situation or what), I will go, "...;_; I'm sorry but MINEMINEMINE".

3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.

Introverted [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: I'm right in the middle, mostly. I'm more introverted, but I do enjoy spending time with people, provided they're people I care about. I'm also shy to the point where I'd almost never make the first move in talking to someone, but if someone talks to me, I can be incredibly friendly.

Cheerful [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: Quote co-worker: "You're the dictionary definition of bubbly." I smile. All. The. Time. Well, maybe not all the time? But most of the time. I like being cheerful. It cheers me up, too.

Leader [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] Supportive
Explain: I'd say in the middle again, though slightly leaning towards supportive? I really don't want to bother leading. But at the same time, I can lead effectively if I have to, as long as I don't get bored, and I do enjoy having a say in things.

Confident [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Modest
Explain: Well. Thing is. I don't think modest is really the opposite of confident. You can be totally confident and totally modest at the same time. Modesty is more the opposite of arrogance. Confidence is more like... how you view yourself, whereas modesty is more how you present yourself. :\ Overall, though, more confident, especially nowadays.

Reserved [ ] [ ] [ ] [X] [ ] Impulsive
Explain: Very impulsive! BIG RED BUTTON LET'S PUSH IT I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! I'm reserved in a careful way when the situation's pretty clearly bad, though.

Energetic [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Calm
Explain: Bouncebounce. Bouncebounce. I'm pretty childishly energetic, actually. Everything I do is charged, dramatic, and overdone. XD;;

Feminine [ ] [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: Mostly... feminine...? There's always the dealie with, "I am violent and I play video games", but I'm generally rather sweet and soft and girly and oh my gosh I love cute pretty frilly things. ;_; ...Actually, I'm almost completely feminine. XD; Most people who knew me pegged me as the Empress tarot, which amused me somewhat, because it's basically like. The Archetypal Woman. XD;

4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.

Mm, well. Depends on who's in my team. As stated, I'm pretty arrogant, and I'm very capable, so at the cost of sounding rude, I don't like working with people much worse than me. But with people around my level, I'm good. I do try to make friendly as much as possible, so I'm pleasant to work with, at least, if somewhat demanding sometimes. ("But... I wanna do that part. Lemme do that part. D:") I'm a little spoiled, especially with good friends, since they'll let me be demanding-ish. XD;; I don't like making decisions outright, but when I lead at least, I like listening to everyone's suggestions and then having the final word. Generally, though, if I do have an idea that I want to do, I'll do my utmost to have it in, whether I lead or not, and I can be preeeetty creative about making it fit. >.>;

5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?

I spend most of my time playing video games. ;_; I do love drawing and writing, though. And I spend most of my time sitting in front of my computer, getting distracted by it, no matter what I'm doing. I also recently got a cat! So now most of my free time is spent petting her and teaching her my hair is not a toy. Uh... other interests include... *ponders* Sewing? I'm also trying to take up sculpting but haven't really started. Have started learning singing! And juggling! Also want to start taking dancing.

6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.

Video game designer, particularly character designer - Oh my gosh I wanted to do this so much when I was little. It doesn't seem as possible now, but I still want to. I love games. I mainly love them for the characters. Well. Story too. But I like characters more. I like how they look, and I love making up backstories, and I just... in general like to make up a world and populate it with people. I like playing god. *sobs*

Writer - I love writing, I love writing, I love writing. I love pretty words. I also would love not having to go outside in the heat of summer or icy cold of winter. >.> Putting this in here instead of a separate one, but. Manga artist - writing and drawing, for money? Woooow. Do want.

Magician - Okay, this one's a little less realistic. >.> But I totally want to be a stage magician. ;_; I love magic, and I love knowing how it works, and I love performing. And I love tophats and vests.

FF Questions:

7) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.

Dissidia! I loooooooove Dissidia. ;_; I can't even really pinpoint why. I just... it's fun. I can play it for hours and hours on end. I usually get bored with fighters, but not Dissidia, oh, no. And it has a bunch of my favourite characters all in one place. :D And it's so preeeetty. *________*

FF6 - It's the first FF I finished, actually, the original SNES version. I adored the characters, and the gameplay was really fun, and Terra remains one of my favouritefavourite FF characters ever.

FF11 - I had a lot of good experiences in it, and met some interesting people. I like how hard it is, actually, especially compared to certain MMOs I won't name. >.> Sometimes it's a bit frustrating ("What do you mean this appears-once-every-hour-or-so monster has a drop rate of 4%? ;_;"), but when you do accomplish something, it feels really rewarding. Plus, once you finally get to the way-too-spread-out story, you discover it's actually really interesting.

8) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:

(Aaah, so hard to decide. I like lots lots lots of them. ;_;)

Terra - I don't even know why. I guess because she was so fragile, but strong, and I both wanted to be like her and wanted to protect her, from the very start.

Kain - I initially hated him, actually. I couldn't forgive his betrayal for the longest time. But when I got older and played FF4 again, I started to really understand and sympathize with him. I like his weakness; it makes him feel more human.

Layle - Haha, he's actually one of the few characters I felt really attracted to. >.>; He was a smirky little jerk... except he wasn't a jerk. I loved his confident attitude, and I loved how kind he really was.

9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:

Aphmau - It's not so much that I relate to her situation, but she acts almost exactly like me. It's hard to explain. But. Yeah. I tried RPing her once! And when I was going through the personality section, it felt almost like I was describing myself...

Rosa - Kind of, somewhat. I had a discussion once with one of my friends when he showed me a post someone wrote about how Rydia is a much "stronger" character than Rosa. On the one hand, I agree, but on the other hand... Rosa has a different kind of strength that I see. How to be a pillar when you're not a shield. How to protect when you're not a fighter. How to keep following what you care about even when it might be dangerous.

10) The FF game you liked playing least: FFTA. ._.;; I did finish the whole thing and got almost 100% completion, and kinda obsessed over my units, but... at the same time, I don't think I enjoyed it as much as the other ones. It was really boring. (I liked both FFT and FFTA2, though? XD;)

11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:

I can't... actually think of someone. I'm sure there are characters I really disliked, but if I can't remember them, I probably didn't dislike them enough? XD; The only one I can think of is Celes at the start of FF6. I've played it a number of times now, and every time, I hate her at the start, and love her by the end.

12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):

AUGH FF11 GJALLARHORN I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE AAAH WHAT WOULDN'T I DO TO HAVE ONE ;_____________;

I want it for the stats. >.>; Well, abilities? Whatever the "song +2" counts as. >.>;;;

13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):

Bahamut! :D I mean, summoning's usually a big deal, so I might as well go for the best? >.>; In FF11, I'm pretty attached to Carbuncle and Shiva, though, since the former you start with and is the easiest to keep out, and the latter was the first of the elemental ones I got.

14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):

Lux. o_o The 4 Heroes of Light's Lux. o________o It is the bestest ability I've ever ever seen. Oh my gosh I love Lux. ;_;

15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:

Ahahaha, probably most of them. I kinda minigamesidequest pretty obsessively. ;_; Hmm, the one I think of right now is FF9's chocobo digging thingie. I got everything. I got. Absolutely. Everything. XD;;;; As soon as I could. XD;;;;;

16) Your favorite Cid: I... dunno, actually. Maybe FF9's.

17) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why. Mm, I don't think I'd get pegged for what I don't think I am, anyway, so will just see~

I don't really get a strong feeling in any direction, but I was thinking Thief for this one. I don't really think of FF thieves as analytical but I can definitely see them as being open-minded, and their level of energy and cheerfulness matches what you marked here. And they might be just a teensy bit selfish. :)

I was considering both black and white mage too, as well as monk for the energy but I'm not sure any of those fit as well as thief does.

*flail* I can see quite a few classes in this one! But I think I will have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] chacusha and go with Thief for you. It's partly the way you write your application - there's an energy and an impulsive to you that by and large I don't see FF mages as having, and which made me think of monk and thief almost immediately. What slanted me towards thief, however, is that some of the FF thieves are pretty intelligent and analytical - maybe not in an academic sense, but Rikku's good with machina, and Locke and Zidane can both think their way out of a tight spot. They can be a bit selfish at times, too. Even your liking for performing fits, since they can have a theatrical air to them - especially Zidane, since he's a part of a performing troupe, and I imagine a stage magician would need to be pretty dexterous, which is important for a thief too!

Yaaay sheepy vote! I was thinking Black Mage for a little while, because of your femininity, but then it just completely hit me that woah, you're super energetic and that pretty much epitomises Thieves for me. Plus, and I'm not sure how many people will agree with me here, but I think self-awareness can be a very Thiefy trait - they seem to know exactly what they're good at and where their skills lie, and I very much got a sense of that from your app. (Plus I'm very similar and totally got stamped as a Thief, ahah).

Also, you seem to have a lot of hobbies and things that you're learning, and that really speaks Thief to me.

[identity profile] breyzyyin.livejournal.com 2011-01-31 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I could see quite a few job classes fitting for you at times, and seems rather redundant now...but I think I'm leaning a lot towards Thief as well. Thief characters such as Vaan, Locke, Zidane, and Rikku tend to be pretty open-minded and can be described as artistic (or rather creative, at the very least) in terms of their thought processes at times. A few of them can be a bit selfish as well (such as Yuffie, though she does intend to put her selfishness to good use for her town! XD)...and quite a few of them can be rather arrogant in a way too (Yuffie and Edge are prime examples of this at times). A few of them even do have some insecurity issues at times too (Vaan when he realizes he is in way over his head at parts in FFXII, and Zidane when he realizes the truth about himself are good examples of that). While some of them are more outgoing in nature, there are quite a few Thief characters who fit more of the middle ground between outgoing and reserved too. Quite a few of them tend to be rather cheerful by nature, tend to be more supportive though they can be leaders (such as Edge, Zidane, and Vaan who all display leadership capabilities at points throughout their stories), and I could actually see a few Thief characters agreeing with your sentiments on confidence and modesty too! They tend to be more impulsive, though they do have cautious moments when situations are really dire. And quite a few Thief characters are also rather energetic too. I could see quite a few of them relating to your thoughts on group-work as well, and for some reason I could easily picture characters such as Vaan, Locke, Edge, Zidane, Rikku, and Yuffie in particular really wanting to perhaps secretly become stage magicians or learn how to do those types of things! :D

Also, yay for FFXI love! I had a lot of fun playing that game, and I love a lot of the characters (it's awesome that you mentioned Aphmau as being someone you relate to! ♥). And Layle, Terra, and Kain are all really neat characters! :)

Monk

I swear, you must be a textbook Thief - you're analytical (which the machinist-type thieves tend towards - Rikku for example) and open-minded. Your arrogance and selfishness screams Yuffie (hell, even Gilgamesh, who is the Greatest Sword Thief in Ivalice).

Also: Layle love!

white mage

[identity profile] kupobun.livejournal.com 2011-02-01 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
I kind of had a hard time with this. Your amount of energy and general cheeriness screams Thief, but at the same time I think your shyness isn't so Thieve-ish (mostly, anyway). But you're just so energetic, in the end, I'm gonna stick with Thief. A lot of thieves, imo, seem very open-minded, creative, analytical, but can also be selfish and insecure on occasion.

[identity profile] breyzyyin.livejournal.com 2011-02-01 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, so it is probably really redundant at this point...but I see a lot of Thief in your application too! XD You just have that energy and enthusiasm that seems to come pretty naturally for Thief characters all over your application...while they tend to be some of the more extroverted characters in the series, not *all* of them are that way. I could picture you as a Thief like Vaan (who can be slightly more introverted than his other Thief counterparts and) or Locke (who strikes me as impulsive with some cautious moments). There's not much else I can think to add to the explanations that you've been given at the moment...but, I could really picture you among the ranks of the FF Thieves. :)

~Also: yay for FFXI love!

You have way too much energy to NOT be a Thief. I think I would have to drink like seven Red Bulls to achieve the amount of energy you have conveyed in this app, lol. And now I will quote the parts of your app that really sealed the deal for me.

"I'm sorry but MINEMINEMINE" - lol, this screams Yuffie to me.

"BIG RED BUTTON LET'S PUSH IT I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!" - Annnd here's Rikku.

"I mean, summoning's usually a big deal, so I might as well go for the best?" - And we have the Materia-thief Yuffie again. =P

Really all of it. You give me the most insane Yuffie-vibes, lol.

[identity profile] zerrat.livejournal.com 2011-02-02 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Lol, Yuffie vibes for serious. *total agreement*

[identity profile] suspensionpoint.livejournal.com 2011-02-01 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, total thief! ;D Your personality absolutely nailed it. Cheerful, fun, open-minded, clever, but sometimes selfish (you need at least a LITTLE of that to be a thief, no? :d). The way you express yourself is even thief-like. :) ..sorry for the short answer, but it's all been said a million times by now! xD

I have to agree with the above votes for Thief! Your traits and your "Rate yourself" section just scream Thief to me, I think thieves are extroverted, cheerful, can lead if necessary but can follow a good leader, are more impulsive than cautious and energetic. Plus, you remind me a lot of characters like Rikku, Locke, Vaan and Zidane so I think Thief is definitely a good fit for you.

Thief!

[identity profile] haryan.livejournal.com 2011-02-01 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely a thief! You remind me a lot of characters like Edge, Zidane and Locke somehow. Thieves are mostly open minded about everything, sometimes they can be confident/arrogant, and they're definitely impulsive, cheerful and energetic so I think that thief really fits your "personality questions" section, especially your three best traits.. You also mentioned you're pleasant to work with, and especially this I like listening to everyone's suggestions and then having the final word reminds me a lot of Zidane somehow, lol.
I'm glad to see someone played 4 heroes of light, it's such a nice game :3

Well, this is a bit redundant by now, but you are most definitely, without a doubt, a Thief. You certainly have the energy for it, and many thiefs are open minded, and at times a bit cocky and stubborn. Even the fact that you mentioned Dissidia as one of your favorite games make me think of very fast-paced fighting, which I would associate most with thiefs. "Bouncebounce. Bouncebounce." Yeaah, I'm definitely going with thief on this one. ;]

[identity profile] the-404-error.livejournal.com 2011-02-02 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I can actually see a little White Mage (aside from the arrogant part) and Monk, but I'm really leaning towards Thief as well. Even the energy level in this application and your overall tone fit with many of those characters, particularly the ones like Yuffie and Rikku. They're cheerful, can be more supportive yet can also lead at times (ex: Zidane), confident, impulsive... Honestly, I'd explain more, but I'm already just repeating what has already been said. DX

[identity profile] plastic-vinyl.livejournal.com 2011-02-02 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
As cheerful, energetic and open-minded as you are, I would have to agree with everyone who voted on Thief because you fit the description perfectly. Many thieves are friendly and energetic. . xD (Vaan, Rikku, Yuffie, etc.) and also as you stated that you can be impulsive with the little big red button (lawl) they can be pretty curious as well.
