Personality Questions:
1) List and expand upon your three best traits / strengths. (These should be personality-related, not physical.)
I am calm during stressful situations. I'm usually the person people turn to when they're freaking out and more often than not, I'm the one who usually says "calm down and take a deep breath" (and if I was a video game character, that would be my catch phrase lol). I am objective when it comes to making decisions and I often look at both sides of an argument. And most of all, I am extremely loyal to the people I love and care about. I would seriously die for my friends and family.
2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.
I can be extremely envious of other people's talents and looks. When I don't meet my own expectations, I always compare myself to other people and I think, "Why can't I be like them?." I try not to think like this often but sometimes I find it hard not to. I tend to hold grudges and find it hard to forgive and forget. In general, I do believe people can change but once a person has wronged me in anyway, I find it hard to trust them again. It'll always be in the back on head and I find it hard to forget.
3) Rate yourself on the following traits by putting an 'X' in the box you think fits best. (E.g. if you are slightly more introverted than extroverted, put an 'X' in the second box.) Explain your choice as well.
Introverted [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Extroverted
Explain: I usually keep to myself and I'm pretty awkward in social situations so I avoid them like the plague, lol. For me, social situations involve a lot of small talk and saying things aren't genuine, which is why I tend to stay quiet during parties. I do get frustrated sometimes because people take my silence in an entire different way and I've been called stuck-up so many times because of it.
Cheerful [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Gloomy
Explain: I try to keep a cheerful disposition in general. I've always believed that if you feel good and cheerful about yourself and others, then good things will come to you.
Reserved [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Impulsive
Explain: Again, I usually keep to myself and I spend more time thinking about things than doing them. I do get a lot of impulsive thoughts but I usually convince myself not to act on them.
Energetic [ ] [ ] [ ] [x] [ ] Calm
Explain: I'm an overall mellow person. I can be energetic too but I just don't show it much.
Feminine [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Masculine/Tomboyish
Explain: I'm more feminine by the definition that I take time to make myself feel pretty and confident every morning but I'm more tomboyish in the way I dress. I prefer to wear jeans and sneakers over dresses and skirts.
Grudge-holding [ ] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ] Forgiving
Explain: I find it hard to forgive a person and I usually hold grudges because I find it hard to trust people again once I've been hurt by them.
4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
When I work in a team, I let others lead me because I work better when I'm guided and given a specific objective. Once I have a specific topic to work on, I usually work on it by myself and rarely do I ask for help from my team mates. Actually, even though I'm not the leader, people usually end up asking me for help and advice with their part. Most of the time I've worked on teams, I usually end up assisting the leader and helping him/her lead the team.
5) Spider-Man Decision: If you had to choose between saving two dozen innocent children and saving your best friend/significant other/person closest to you, which would you pick and why?
I would choose to save the innocent children because as much as I love my best friend/significant other/person closest to me, my priority is always to save as much people as possible, regardless if I know them or not.
6) Your friend has had their feelings hurt and comes to you for consolation. What do you do? Let's say, two days later they come to you again still upset over the same issue. What would you do in that case?
I would first listen to what they have to say. Then, I would give them my thoughts on the situation. I'm not going to lie and tell them what they want to hear but I won't be rude and tell them everything that pops in my head. I'm going to tell them what they need to hear so that they can move on and start healing. And if they do come back again a couple days later with the same issue, I would tell them the exact same thing I told them earlier and also tell them to try to focus on other things.
7) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
I usually spend my free time reading, watching movies, writing, and listening to music but most of my time is spent on reading. I love learning and discovering new things and I also love reading stories. It's fascinating how much you can learn about yourself by just reading.
8) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
Nursing is currently the career I'm pursuing. It's my dream job because I love the human anatomy and I love that I'm able to make a difference in a person's life. It's such a wonderful feeling when you've helped another person. Other careers that I've considered are teaching (history/english in foreign countries).
FF Questions:
9) List one to three favorite Final Fantasy games and why you like them. Sequels/spin-offs/non-numbered/KH/Dissidia games are okay.
My absolute favorite game would be Final Fantasy IX. I love the characters (and the NPCs too) and how each of them had something to contribute to the story. The setting of the story is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to live in a place like Alexandria or Lindblum. I also adore the little easter eggs throughout the game about past FF games. I'm a sucker for nostalgia and FFIX made me nostalgic with every play. Overall, I love everything about the game. My other two favorites are FFX and FFIV. I've always thought of Final Fantasy and other RPGs as interactive books so my favorites are usually ones with gripping and wonderful story lines.
10) List one to three of your favorite Final Fantasy characters and why:
Zidane is one of my absolute favorite characters because I love that he doesn't turn his back on people who need him. I also love that he is so sociable and makes an effort for everyone to feel included. Auron is another favorite of mine because of his literally undying loyalty to his friends and his determination to make things right by them. And of course, I can't forget about Vivi! He's so adorable and he is very wise for his age, even though he doesn't consider himself smart at all. Vivi asks all the right questions and he is also extremely loyal and will do anything to protect his friends.
11) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:
Yuna is probably the closest character I can relate to. We both lost our fathers at a young age, we both have too much responsibilities and expectations on our shoulders, and we also have very similar personalities.
12) The FF game you liked playing least:
I didn't really enjoy playing FFVIII because I couldn't quite get into the story. I found it hard to relate to Squall and his "lone wolf" attitude. At least with FFVII, Cloud showed a major character change by the end of the game as oppsed to Squall, who only slightly changed. I also didn't like how the other characters didn't get enough development. They had great potential but they just felt like extras. Also I never felt the chemistry between Rinoa and Squall and I cringed at about every scene between the two of them. I also wasn't a big fan of the GF system. Overall this game just wasn't for me.
13) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:
Squall because I couldn't connect with him as the main character. I felt like he didn't change much throughout the course of the game compared to the other leads in the series. Also I didn't like Rinoa because I found her a little too whiny.
14) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):
I love the guns used in FFXII. I love their designs and they just have so much character. The moment you see Balthier use it in one of the FMVs early in the game, you can really feel that he is a pirate that lives by his own rules.
15) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):
Shiva, esp. in FFX. She brings ice cold to another level. Also how can you not love the snap that she does? Flawless.
16) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):
I love Lightning's summon, Odin. The summoning sequence is beautiful and the both of them are badasses, enough said.
17) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:
I've spent way too much time dodging lighting for Lulu's ultimate weapon. Just thinking about it gives me the shivers.
18) Your favorite Cid:
Final Fantasy IX's Regent Cid of course! Ooglop Cid will always be the best Cid for me.
19) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.
I don't think I'm suited to be a soldier because I'm not a natural leader and I'd rather have someone else take charge. I already have too many expectations of myself so I don't think I can handle the expectations and responsibilities of everyone as a soldier.
