Personality Questions:

I completely believe that my greatest strengths are my weaknesses, and my greatest weaknesses as my greatest strengths. However, I will list things in accordance.
Loyalty: I'm absolutely loyal to a fault. Once I have known you- really known you- then you will never be able to get out of my grip. Unless you do something that I absolutely can not forgive.
Confidence: My confidence is boundless. I kid you not. I believe I can take over the world and do whatever I can with my life, even with taking into consideration the consequences that will be given to me.
Judgement/reasoning: I'm fair. My life has a lot of grey in it, and I incorporate it to whatever I do. Nothing is completely black and white, and I always attempt to see all angles of the situation.


2) List and expand upon your three worst traits / weaknesses.
As stated before, I tend to think my weaknesses as my strengths, and my strengths as my weaknesses. I digress.
Head-strong: I will act and/or speak without thinking. My opinion is just that: my opinion. If you try and oppose me against my thoughts, I will shut you down.
Confrontational: I am not afraid to speak my mind, as stated before. If you are being a complete and utter moron, I will not hesitate to tell you to shut up, and keep your mouth closed. If you call my friends or I something behind our backs, I am not afraid to step up to the plate and ask them why.
Superiority-complex: I have a tendency of thinking that I am better than everyone else. No matter their standing in the world, or if they are smarter than me- I think I am better than you. It's an odd state of mind, and it doesn't necessarily happen all the time, but I do feel that I am better than you.

Explain:
This has more to do with my superiority complex, and possibly my narcissism, but when I meet new people, I make them come to me. My feelings on it is something to the likes of: "Why should I get to know them if they don't want to get to know me?" So if you don't approach me first, I will not approach you.

I. . . Do not know where I fall under this, so I will put neutral. I like make-up, but I hate shopping. I fit better with my guy-friends than my girl-friends, but I love hanging out with both either way. Etc, etc.

4) Describe how you typically work in teams. Is it generally a good experience, or do you prefer working by yourself? Do you like to lead and make decisions or do you prefer to let others make decisions so that you can do the legwork? You may find it helpful to give an example of a team you worked on recently and how that went.
I like working by myself more so than in a group, preferably- unless it's a big project. Then more the merrier. I don't usually take the lead, unless no one steps up to it initially. I haven't really been doing group projects, my last one being about four years ago, give or take half a year.

5) What interests/hobbies do you have? How do you like to spend your free time?
I love to read and play video games, along with hanging out with my friends and just having a good time. My free time is usually spent lazying around in my apartment, watching movies online, unless a friend calls me up to do something.

6) Describe one to three careers you would find ideal, with a little explanation of why it appeals to you.
Teaching English as a Second Language (in another country): I'm a Lingustics Major, and am fluent in two languages, (three, depending on how flexible "fluent" is used).
Professor at a University: I've always wanted to get a Ph.D, and it would be interesting to teach at a University in general.
Photographer: I don't have much skill in this, but I love taking photos.

Sephiroth: He. Is. Just. So. Bad. Ass. And. His. Sword. Like, omg. No, but really. I feel like his characterization was amazing, and the whole angst and stuff makes my inner fangirl squeal. Yes. I said it. You may shoot me.
Balthier: He's a pirate. The end.
Lightning: I feel like she was pretty well characterized. A little over the top, but I could relate to her quite well.


9) One to three characters you relate to (you may reuse answers from #8 if applicable) and why:
Lightning: I feel like her situation with her sibling (Serah) is similar to what my sister and I have. Not only that, she has a hard shell that isn't easy to penetrate- but when you do, you can be assured that she will be loyal. Family and friends is everything.
Balthier: His confidence (and ego). Nothing can deter him from what he wants, and he might have to be shady for it, but he's also loyal in the end. Besides. He's a pirate and I'm a pirate too. Ahhahahaha.
Auron: His perseverance! He made a promise and kept it. I don't make promises often, but when I do, I always- always- try and fulfill them.

10) The FF game you liked playing least:
XIII. I'm sorry. The gameplay was interesting, but the fact that you couldn't control all of them just threw me off. Also, the maps. They were absolutely linear and it. . . The storyline was interesting, though.

11) One to three FF characters you dislike and why:
I don't actually dislike many characters. I find that they have purpose to either the game itself or the storyline, so I really can't say. Then again, I've only really played a handful of games.

12) Favorite weapon in a Final Fantasy game (either the name if you liked the name, or a picture if you liked the look of it, or a description if it had awesome stats/abilities):
MASAMUNE Gunblade. Sort of definitely.

13) Your favorite Final Fantasy summon (e.g. Ifrit, Carbuncle, Bahamut, etc.):
Ugh. Neo Bahamut/Bahamut Zero from Final Fantasy VII. Beautiful.

14) Your favorite spell/ability/technique that can be learned in a Final Fantasy game (e.g. Esuna, Steal, special finishes/overdrives such as Tifa's Final Heaven limit break, etc.):
Erm. I'll say Ultima for this, only because most of the special finishes and overdrives escape me.


15) A Final Fantasy mini-game/sidequest you invested entirely too much time into:
Chocobo breeding in Final Fantasy VII. I. Despise. You. Black. And. Gold. Chocobos.

16) Your favorite Cid:
Cid Highwind! -- Or, does Balthier count as a Cid, technically? 8]

17) Optional: Up to one class you think does not fit you, with reasoning why.
Oh god. I'm definitely not a White Mage. I came to aid if it's important and an emergency, but if it's something that you yourself can overcome, don't expect me to help and baby you.

Your analytical nature, reservedness, calmness but ultimately confrontational manner bring to mind Black Mages such as Lulu and Rydia. Your confidence and ego reminds me of Palom, another black mage.

Was considering Dragoon for the loyalty and calmness, but seriously, Black Mage is the way to go!

I was thinking of Dragoon and Soldier at times, but I definitely can see quite a lot of Black Mage in your responses. Black Mages are often viewed as being rather supportive in their own way to the party, but they don't baby others all the time. They're loyal, pretty fair-minded usually (sometimes it depends on the character themselves as there are some exceptions, but quite a few of the Black Mages that initially came to mind for me do fit this trait)...and some of them can be a bit head-strong too (such as Rydia and Palom in certain instances). Quite a few Black Mage characters also tend to be a bit more reserved/introverted, are rather balanced in terms of their energy levels and emotional reactions to things, fall in-between being a leader or a support figure for a group, and tend to be fairly calm...especially when it comes to battle tactics in games if not other situations (though usually it is both). :D

I think you're a Soldier. You reminded me of Lightning esp. your confidence and how you said you're not afraid to speak your mind and shut people down (makes me think of LIGHTNING PUNCH). I can definitely see Black Mage as well. Whatever class you are, I see you as a main attacker. :)

I'm really torn between Soldier and Black Mage for you, because most of the Soldiers that I can think of tend to be less... the word isn't showy, but you do like to prove that you're capable. I think that's something you see more with the Black Mage characters in general. Also, you prefer not to take the lead and the way you're willing to aid but not coddle people reminds me of some of the later Black Mages like Lulu.

I actually thought of Dragoon from the start and the rest of it only reconfirmed it for me. I can also see quite a lot of the Solider and Black Mage classes, but it would have to be only the more Lightning and Cloud side of the soldiers in the former case and I keep on getting a more physical class type of vibe here in the case of the latter. I think Dragoons are the most consistently introverted and confident, and often very little can deter them from what they want... They certainly can lead, but they usually are supporting the main character at the same time. All of them are pretty calm, and I can especially see Dragoons like Ricard and VII!Cid loving many of the more badass summons/spells/etc.

Oh god, I hated maps in FFXIII. Maybe I am dumb but I don't even want to think how many times i got lost on Pulse before i memorized it.

I am torn between a Soldier and Dragoon but I do some Black Mage here and there but I don't personally get the feeling you'd use that much magic, idk weird me. You're loyal and confident but at the same time you can be head-strong (well there are dragoons like FFVII!Cid who can be kinda head-strong but it's something i associate more with Soldiers and Black Mages). After reading your app again, I think I see a bit more Dragoon in you. The factor that decided on it is the fact you put judgement/reasoning as your positive trait and that you "...completely believe that my greatest strengths are my weaknesses, and my greatest weaknesses as my greatest strengths." I always saw Dragoons as characters who are fair and look at the both sides of things carefully and they always strike me as rather confident even if they might have some insecurities or something. Soldiers are confident too but too me Dragoons are just.. very confident (lol /facepalms at herself). You're calm, reserved, confident and Dragoons can lead but they can also follow. The fact that you associate with Light... I dunno but I always thought they're kind of similar. You said you'd do everything for your loved ones, Fang did too. They both went through all the shit only to protect one person who is the most important to them. Still, there are some parts that fit Soldier class more but...

Hello Black Mage. Intelligent, knows where she stands, and strong-willed? Um, yeah. Especially since you said you're definitely not a white mage, I can imagine the opposite being the most true. Your personality questions ring true for me, and your "this or that" type questions do as well. Especially since you don't seem too gloomy or too cheerful, just right in the middle. Very un-dragoon-like. IMO. The fact you love language especially one that isn't yours reminds me of the ancient incantations from Final Fantasy Tactics that you have to spend all battle waiting on to cast something. You'd probably love to do that, eh? Learn an ancient language that makes stuff blow up or get really cold? ;D Your three characters you can relate to aren't black mages, but I typically think of Vivi as the quintessential black mage, who (at the end of the game) seems a little shy but still wants to be strong, and of course, loves Zidane for being one of those amazing people, etc.

Your application seems to say different things to different people, lol. Personally, I see you as a Dragoon. While you do seem intelligent, which is a mage trait, your confidence and strong will really yelled Dragoon to me. Plus loyalty and distance are really Dragoon-ish, and you seem to have those traits to spare.

I saw a nice mixture of Monk, Soldier, and Dragoon, but in an attempt to be somewhat helpful with your votes, I'd go with Dragoon. Your introversion mixed with your confidence, your overall aloof and reserved nature, and the fact that you're calm all speak a lot in favor of this class, and I see them as a class to look at things impartially. You like to work by yourself rater than take charge, which reminds me more of Dragoon, even though certain Soldiers definitely share this trait. Your negative traits do remind me a lot of Monks as well, but it's not really supported elsewhere. I'm thinking Dragoon here. Dragoons are usually very introverted, blanced but probably slightly more cynical, they can be good leaders when necessary but they don't want to take the part and they're definitely more calm than enegergetic so I think that Dragoon really fits you "Personality Questions" section. Also your three best and worst traits remind me of Freya from FFIX, so I think that Dragoon is really a nice fit for you.

Man, I'm really stuck between a Black Mage and a Dragoon here. I'm mostly gettin' a Black Mage's vibe here because of your confidence and ego - mostly from your character relations - but it also brings me back to a Dragoon because of Strengths/Weaknesses. Overall, I suppose I'll go along with my second choice as a Dragoon only because personality overrides it all. Especially your introverted side and your reservedness as well. x:
